What did you do for your W211 today?

I feel like it responds better but the main problem was my reverse. When shifting into reverse my car would have a good 10 second lag then bump into reverse. Now once I place the shifter into reverse it is instant.

The seats looked really good before I did it, since the car is low mileage and all, but they really look new now. Being an Auto Technician I worry about that spot of grease or oil I don't see on my pants or shirt before I climb in and rub it on my seats. So doing all this makes me feel a little less paranoid.
I was surprised that there isn't really any smell to speak of from the products.
If it is just the product, where did you get the Leather Masters kit?

Here's the link for the kit I got from Leather Masters:

-Oil Change and oil filter
-Installed Fumoto Quick Valve to replace the oil drain plug. Now I won't spill as much black diesel oil on the garage floor.
-Fuel Filter
-Air Filter
-Cabin Filter
-Replaced front mount intercooler gaskets. One was leaking.

all 4 rotors and pads in front and rear, now the a/c compressor is starting to make noise.
Sadly, that is all I can take, and my beloved Benz had to move on.
She was replaced by a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country van, with stow and go seats!
I decided that my beautiful lady of a Benz got to be like a beautiful wife with a bad spending habit.
I was very sad to see her go, I loved, cherished and took great care of her, but don't want her back.
She was my ninth Mercedes, but will probably be my last.
By the way, the new car doesn't hold a candle to her, but, as an example, rear
shocks go in the range of 40.00, compared to 650.00 each for the Benz.
It was a wonderful love affair with an incomparable car for 4 years. :-((

Bob,
Understand all about the age thing and living on 'Social Insecurity' at age 76.
So with a limited income, why oh why did you buy any MBZ with air bags?
As long as you get a Benz without air bag suspension, you would not have had that problem.
You could also have bought rebuilt replacement air bags for much less than what you paid for those new parts.
Any car can have A/C compressor problems, especially when you, in your location, must use A/C so much.

Try and find a good clean E Klass without air bags (E-320) and you are clear of that problem.
Only Mercedes Benz lovers really know the differences, and there are many.
You'd be surprised at just how quick a 2005-2006 CDI is, having more torque than the E-500 has,
and it is all down low at only 1600-2400 rpms where you drive all the time.
Stay away from the 2007s and later as the older straight six is a better set up.
For excellent fuel economy, check out my Fuelly postings.
Good used 2005-2006 exampes are still around and you'd be driving a Benz!
Good luck and keep the faith.

Over the last three days I washed her, detailed the inside (its perfect now), and then cleaned wheels inside and out.
Next up, today, lotion the leather.

Don't hate the car per se, just can't believe how much mb f*cked up with this one and they don't even accept it, with their horrible dealer service on top of it. It's not even like the service departments are trained to figure out what's wrong. I've had to walk without printouts from here to teach their peons how to work on their own cars
Thank God for this site and the great people on it cause if it wasn't for that, I don't know how I'd be having anything done properly on this car.Honestly i drove a kia optima and hyundai sonata recently and they both drove better than my e320. what does that tell me??? A lot

We've owned a 420SEL, a 94 S420, an 07 C230, and still currently an 02 CL500 and none even come close to the under-quality and poor drive-ability of my 04 E320. I mean come on I've taken it to 3 different dealers and an indy and they still can't figure why the car lurches at low speed and the shift points are off and why it drives like sh*t in up hill down hill canyon terrain (which is 10 miles of what I have to drive at least twice a day since that's the type of area I live in). Just
