Raced an Audi S4 (26 psi of boost) and won, in comfort mode. Don't worry it was on a desolate road up near Lockheed Martin. But after that I felt bad so I pushed my car hard so washed my (dirty) W211, waxed it with the Black Detailer, vacuumed, detailed the interior, put on tire-black, cleaned the windows, and put in a nice tank of premium. It is now spotless =) Parked it next to a very nice M6 today in the parking lot. They compliment each other nicely, I'll try to snap a pic if I have time.

Repainted the hood for about $700. A company (trespassing) on school property was putting flyers on the cars by popping up the windshield wipers and having another guy place the flyer down and putting them down again. As many of you know with the W211 you can't really do that unless you have the hood open or pull it up and out. So they ended up damaging the edge of the hood closest to the windshield - stripping the paint down to the metal. Obvious corrosion issue and it looked horrible from the drivers seat. So after contacting him and a week of going back and forth he finally agreed to pay to get it back to how it was (which constituted repainting the hood for $700) at EuroCollision. They did an amazing job and it makes the car look a whole lot newer as none of the old stone chips show anymore.

Thanks brother w211's
Also have a 2008 e63 and I got a black one from ebay, plug it in and paired in 2 minutes. It downloads the whole phone book to the car and now the "TEL" button brings up a crude but effective phone interface. All the steering wheel buttons work and call quality is pretty good. "SMS" button is ghosted and does not work.

The puck is good, exhaust and tuning is better... maybe next year 3-4K is too much for me now :-)

Dropped off my E550 for a total brake replacement (pads and rotors, calipers will be painted soon) and fluid flush. I will have a full review on my experiences out soon, but I got everything (StopTech Pads, Front Sensors, and R1 Concept Premium Cross-Drilled Rotors) from R1 concepts and dealt with both Kevin and Steve. Excellent experience thus far, super knowledgeable and easy purchase, and both of the gentlemen I worked with were fast, helpful, and efficient.

Total order was about $670, the pads themselves were something like $139 for the front set and a little less for the rear (I think they go for around $70)... I'd have to look at the invoice to see the individual items listen which is in the box at the shop, but they're a bit more expensive than average but definitely worth it from what I know about them so far. About 10% better bite/braking power.

The stoptech pads are like $120 for front and rear on eBay

Wonder how they hold up compared to like hawks.. Im just looking for something that bites a whole lot more than stock

The StopTechs will bite a lot more than stock from what I understand, I will let you know when I pick up the car. But the problem with HPS Hawks is the incredible problems with noise, squealing, and just being an uncomfortable pad for street use. While I'm aware there are multiple versions, they really are a grabby racing pad. Everyone recommends Akebonos, but the problem is I did some research and they have roughly 10-15% LESS bite than stock (not sure how they quantify that but subjective opinion agrees) - despite being totally quiet and having no brake dust. The StopTechs as performance street pads are supposed to be low dust, heavier bite, and quiet for the most part once they are warmed up. Did a LOT of research on this so I hope I'm right!

Uh oh... well do they stop squealing when the pad warms up? That is what I was told. I mean for me the priorities are (in this order):

1) Braking Power/Bite
2) Squealing
3) Brake Dust

So if the braking power is upgraded from OEM I can sacrifice a few of the refinements for performance. It was either this or Akebono from the majority of what I found available for my model, so I chose the higher performance route. Thoughts?

I have the Akebonos on both of my w211s and love them. No brake dust. Stopping power is the same as stock. However, they smooth out the initial "touchiness" of the SBC and are dead quiet.

I've had Akebonos for several years, I felt no difference in stopping power once broken in. I can't even remember how good my OEMS were for stopping power but remember extremely well how bad they were; I had to clean brake dust off the wheels every day.
