That is insane.
I have a buddy who owns a glass shop and I just asked him what he thinks it should cost. He says he can get an aftermarket windshield for $280.00, the Sekurit windshield from Germany for 400.00.
I am in CA, where I believe that many things are more expensive than in many other states, so how can it cost 608 bucks in NC?

E-55 got some love last night...
Pulled the superdupercharger to have a look underneath, clean things up...
Fix vacuum leaks at intake...
Changed oil in supercharger...
Looking for source of intermittent miss from #4 during heavy load. Was hopeful that vacuum leak repairs may help... Alas; no. Get to dig more.
Sigh..

Out Of Control!!
4 Wheel alignment.
Rear was out and it ate the tires.
Wife said it is driving like a new car.
Now to order another pair of tires. (Ugh)

Long TLC session this weekend. Replaced intake manifold (installed metal butterfly & diaphragm rod on new one), Cleaned injectors, replaced O-rings, new centrifuge cover, cam plugs, expansion plugs & cam magnets. Replaced O-rings on cam sensors. Also had to replace some pressure sensor whose barbed fitting broke off when trying to disconnect vacuum hose. Oh yeah, replaced some vacuum hoses while I was in there & tidied everything up. Today she gets a bath.

Over the last couple of days I have finally fitted the Air Scoops.
Also have painted the new Rotors with VHT Caliper paint before they are fitted.

Laundry list of things done to mine lately.
Replaced the following:
Inner and outer tie rods
lower ball joints
upper control arms
sway bar links
both front wheel bearings
both front CV axles
Motor mounts/trans mount
oil cooler gasket
Two new front tires
And now it rides like a brand new car. Car has never driven or ridden this well since I have owned it. Guess it was well worth it!

Not every one of those parts were bad (one outer tie rod was, drivers side lower ball joint was, drivers side wheel bearing, passenger side upper, and both CV shafts)
But, since they were going to be in there, and those are all very common failure points, might as well knock it all out before it goes bad.

It's definitely on my to do list - not sure whether to try and stretch the leather, inject glue with a syringe, or the heat and ice trick. Maybe just purchase a new unit from the Bay.

I did it twice, but it has been tight ever since I did it.

I used a MILWAUKEE heatgun, which is what our electricians at work use, so I borrowed it for one weekend.
Use patience though while you do it, do not get too close with the heat as it may burn/discolor your leather.
Good luck.
