BMW
This is also a thread on the Porsche forums.

I put a gun to my car's head and told it that if it ever let me down that I'll kill it.

Sold - 05' E55
Just made an appointment to get all the fluids changed. 50K miles, and I plan to keep the car for awhile.

Somebody said: Treat it right and it will return the favor

2009 Mercedes E350 RWD
I just switched all four tires on my 2009 E350 (W211) with AMG sport package.

This is my third set of rear tires (2 sets of Michelin OEM) and second set of front tires.

After some research, I went to the General G-Max (UTQC 480) from Discount Tire. About USD 1,000 after tax and installation.

A lot cheaper than the Michelins and these tires stick on the pavement - amazing. The ride is okay and minimal noise. Very pleased with my purchase.

Late Built 2005 W-211 E-320 CDI
Thumbs up Added Satelite Radio to my Highway Cruiser

Completed installing the final piece to being able to have Satelite Radio in my W-211.

That last piece and the final step was installing the antenna. Had already installed
a junk yard module 'cause a new one is no longer available or listed from MBZ!

Had already taken the car to the dealer to have the Command System recognize the recently
installed module, a necessary step if a person wants to add Satelite to their W-211.

All and all, not at all inexpensive, but I now have Satelite Radio in my E-320 CDI.

Wouldn't leave home without it!

replaced the valve cover gaskets, breather covers have new sealer, and a new breather hose that I tore while taking old one off. Two days now, not a drop of oil leaking! My engine is now almost as clean as it was new :-)

I guess I will cheat and say what I have done in the last few days on my 2007 E550 4matic (SP/P1):

  • New front passenger interior door level (cracked - replaced for $250)
  • New driver's side mirror turn single lens (scuffed - replaced for $250)
  • Headlight 6 step sanding and buffing for complete restore
  • Fresh tank of premium petrol
  • Hand car-wash
  • The Black Box™ Turtle Wax
  • Sheepskin Buffer for max shine
  • Vacuumed carpets
  • Interior detailing
  • Lexol™ Leather Wax and Interior Sealer
  • Bought new iPod input cable that is flat to work with my glovebox
  • California Duster dusting and first use
  • Took a few pictures!
Yeah... 8 hours a day for 3 days pretty much to get my baby perfect.

(Sorry for poor picture quality, exposure too high)

Thank you! A lot of hard work, but as long as it remains better than the way I received it on an auto-transport truck (dirty!), my efforts are a success =D

2004 Brilliant Silver E500
My baby, since Sept 2011 has had the left front air suspension replaced, then in Nov, the right one, and last month the 2 rear air bags. All totaled, $5,200. Now she needs new tires. I changed the oil myself last Saturday for the first time. Maintainence fund getting low!

We can all relate haha. Did you need to replace it as a preventative measure or were the airmatic struts not actually functioning?

Question Yeah really . . .

You think he spent over 5 Grand simply as a preventative measure?

One of several reasons I steer clear of any Benz with those struts.
They may ride better but when they go out, it is simply much to expensive to fix 'em!

Haha no but $5000 might have a very different meaning to you than it does to him hahaha but in that case he would be driving an ///AMG so you're probably right
