I don't usually get tickets, but when I do, I get 7 at a time.

It's good that I can laugh about it now. To make a long story short, I was driving a buddy back home. It was 12am. The expressway was dead. Naturally I drove at a speed that I was comfortable with, while causing no harm to anyone around me. After about 9 miles and 1/2 mile to my exit I slowed down and merged into the right lane cruising at speed limit. Immediately, I noticed a car in the rear view, flying towards me. I thought to my self ha, maybe I baited that corvette I drove by a few...wait a min. that's a cop....

Got pulled over. (I thought I was going to jail at that point). The officer told me he was trying to catch up for the past 3 exits . I had no idea anyone was following me. I was polite, and he seemed to keep his cool very well. After waiting 45 mins in the car, he comes back and hands me a roll. Tells me I can get the tints written off, and as he leaves I say is that all I have officer? He comes back and says not at all. Everything is in there I have no time to explain it, bye. I will never forget the feeling of unraveling, what felt like the rough draft of the deceleration of independence. It just did not end....

So fill us in...what, other than tint? Speeding, reckless, careless, failure to signal, mopery with intent to creep...? And if you're laughing, there must be at least a chance you're going to keep your license--got a good lawyer?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. 5 tickets in total. 2 tints (which I got taken care of) Crossing HOV where prohibited (which also came with an unsafe lane change) and Speeding 91 in 55 (but I wasn't going 91). If there is any good to come from it, I have an out of state license, and I already took a defensive driving course, and hired a good lawyer. Pretty expensive 20 mins

Yes, but imagine if it happened in Ontario! Car is impounded and license suspended for two years for 50+ kph over limit and you were cited for the equivalent of 57 kph over

Fight it in court - he didn't even explain nothing to you and if he was 3 exits behind you, how could he have witnessed you for longer then 2 or 3 seconds ?

Yikes. Sorry to hear about this. It's scary sometimes how easily and quickly you can hit the 90s... I sometimes mash it on on-ramps and have to remember to really keep an eye on my speed on the off-chance there is a cop around.

wow, I thought my record was bad in the past but you beat me this time, i only got 5 at once, well it did not help it was the cheif of police I passed and that he had to call in a helicopter to get me. I was redline in 6th gear on my Ducati 748R, not a pretty ticket but i got a lawyer and got it drop to just a minor moving violation due to the fact that the cheifs car was not equiped with anything so it would have been a hassle for him to show up and court and prove anything.
