Question to v60 Phone opton users
I'm having the Motorola v60 wireless phone option put in my E500 next week.
Question: Can I buy my wife a v60 phone, in addition to mind, with her own separate ph number and either of them work in the car depending who's drivng it and which phone is installed?
I assume the phone's memory (e.g., programed name/phone numbers, last # called, missed calls, etc.) drives the cars displays and therefore, that's what you'll see when either v60 phone in installed?

do not think so,
phone is a v60, but its propriatory to MB. it
has special software, not interchanagble with standard v60 phone, That's the way it works with BMW, sure same with MB

all MB v60's will work in the car. They come in 2 versions 1) cdma - for Verizon and 2) tdma - for AT&T. It would be great if MB would sell additional phones without having to buy the $1500 phone install package. The phone itself should cost around $250. Let me know what you find out!! mp

YOU CAN USE ANY V60 PHONE IN YOUR E CLASS. of course i have one that came with the car. buy my girl friend also has a v60 from cigular or verizon i think, and when she puts her phone in my car, everything works fine. so get any v60, doesnt HAVE to be mbz

pogotango - my wife and I each have a Motorola V60 from AT&T and they 'definitely' do not work with the MB phone cradle ........... when I plug them in it looks like they are starting to connect and then the display says please connect phone. Maybe the one's you have work because they are CDMA and mine (AT&T) are TDMA and the firmware is different. I will try to borrow a Verizon V60 and see if it works!!

Sorry. I mis-read. The avatar option is working. The uploads for other items are indeed didabled until further notice. You can host your sig at a number of free hosting pages however.

i swear it works, ill take a picture of it next time. when i plug my phone in, and i click the phone lists, my saved numbers come out. when i put her phone in, her saved numbers come out. it was kool. ill show you.

I don't know if it is really relevant to the thread, but my E class with Nokia phone prep will take any Nokia 5110,6110, 6310 etc. None are MB phones. Don't know anything about the Motorola V60 version though.
