You could always just input the coords of the place you're going to. Takes less time and is more accurate.
Just bring up the map page and touch the cursor. When you do, the coords window in the upper left side is now visible. Put in where you want to go, hit enter, and drive away.
You can get the coords in the correct format from Google Earth.
