Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the 2009 model yr came with a small tool box set / kit in the trunk? If so, can you share the part #?

yeah... all new mercedes owners work on their cars..... I get the feeling the way the cars are put together these days they don't want us doing anything but bring them in and pay....

Hi, find anything? A small of tools wrapped in a cloth are mentioned in the manual but one can't always go by the manual (e.g the auto tilt down pass side mirror doesn't work on the 2009 model unless u find a dealer to enable it. It use to be standard).
I know BMWs come with a screw driver, pliers, etc... In their trunks. Very helpful if u need to replace a non-HID/ LED light, wiper blades, etc....

its usually located where the car jack is, in a blue cloth roll with a string tie. I wouldnt call it a tool kit, but there are fuses, lug wrench, and a threaded pin to align the wheel when you reinstall it....

So unlike the BMWs, it doesn't include 2 screwdrivers, pilers, etc... Makes me wish I kept the set from my e46.

yes, the tow hook and all important gloves Never use my gloves either, and use to have fun with my wife by driving the car with the gloves on. The quality of the tools in the BMW tool kit are not as good as the 1980s cars that you could actually use on the car....

thats the pin for used for putting the wheel back on, its almost in possible to do without that pin. No tool kit or first aid kit anymore, really?

My '09 has the first aid kit in the pass side font seat. The usual contnts are in a black vinyl-ish zipped bag with the mb logo.

The storage compartment under the front passenger seat of my 09 E550 is empty. If this was standard equipment, then MB owes me for this CPO car. dave

I was sorta lucky then. My CPO contained the first aid kit but no trunk tool set. Anyone know if a trunk cargo net was standard as there are clips in there?

Definitely not standard. Just bought one from the dealer. Very useful if you use your truck for groceries, etc. dave
