I´m considering buying a set of Carlsson 1/16 UL rims with the dimensions:

Front 20x9.5 with 235/30/20 tires ET40
Rear: 20x11 with 265/30/20 tires ET35

Will they fit on my E500?

You will have problems with the rears. A 10.5 rear might be the widest you can squeeze under there. Whats the offset?

The offset is ET35 in the rear.

We tested the wheels tonight and they fit nicely. 265/30 in the back is a little too narrow for the rim so i´ll have to look for another dimension. 285/25 maybe?

Thank you.

Don´t think so. Fiddling with Airmatic is asking for trouble i think. It´s low enough for now. I have to get hold of some 285/25 tires though.

Looks good! I suggest lowering just a tad bit. Go broke or go home. Hehehehe

You would think a 265/30 on a 20x11 would be more stretch than that.

It´s a bit of a stretch but i have seen worse actually. I´m considering running them down and then buy 295/25 or maybe even 305/25?

The offset is right so 305 maybe shouldn´t be a problem?

Nice! Do you have pictures taken from above the fender/wheel or from the back? I'd like to see How the wheel lines up with the fender. (sorry about my bad english)

While 11" wide wheel is the "proper" width wheel for a 305 width tire, 305/25-20 on 20x11 et35 wheels on W211 E will stick out past rear fenders by at least 1/2". Even with 265/30 tires (which should never be put on 11" wide wheels), wheels are already past rear fender edge.

Not entirely correct, the wheels are not past rear upper fender edge. They are totally flush. They stick out a little bit on the sides but that´s nothing to be concerned about.

Take a look at the W211 AMG forum. There are a bunch of guys running 20x11 in the rear without any problems.

Sure, 265/30 shouldn´t be put on a 11' rim but the stretch is not extreme in any way. Some even put 235-245 on 11's for a real aggressive stretch so mine is not that bad actually. But sure, it´s not optimal and i will eventually put some 285's on there.

It looks like the rim is sticking out but it´s actually totally flush with the fender.

drop it 1/2" in the rear and you're golden :thumb:

The HRE's that I just picked up off of a 2003 SL500 are the same size, not too sure of the offsets but seeing how it sits perfectly on your car kind of gives me some reassurance. I don't think I'll have to do too much work as long as I get smaller tires.

Currently wrapped with 305's in the rear. Anyone know if SL500 wheels will fit the 211?

Actually my rims are supposed to be mounted on the SL. The dimensions are extreme for the E-Class so it´s crucial that the offset is correct.

It´s a tight fit and you won´t be able to pull those 305´s off without pulling the fenders me thinks.

Looks nice! Slight drop would really do the trick though.

I decided to go with 19" for my wagon. I bought 19x8,5 ET35 and 10x19 ET35 Rial Daytona Race wheels.
