How to tell if car has xenon headlights?
I'm looking to buy a used W211, probably and 08 or 09 E350 and want to know if xenon lights are installed. Having viewed lots of pictures on eBay, some of which do or do not mention xenons, I can't see a clear difference. Aside from calling MB with the VIN can someone give me a simple way to tell if xenons are installed.

If you can see the front, look for the triangular cutouts between the parking lights and headlights. This will indicate there are headlight washers, which I believe are only available on cars with Xenon.

It's not that hard to tell the difference. Directly at the headlighs, the NON-Xenon aren't white at all. Majority of the one I've seen of the E class below 2011 models don't have the package.
I still can't believe they won't put it as a standard with packages in 2012 these days.

Thank you to everyone who replied, I was hoping there was going to be simple way to figure out from photo's but it's sounding unlikely.
As others have commented it seems that by 2009 all W211's have the covers below the headlights where the headlamp washer would be. However it seems that most of those covers are really just blanking plates and there is no wash feature.
In fact I'm not even sure where the button is for the headlamp washer, does it come on when the windshield washer button is pressed. A while back it looks as though it was next to the light switch but I'm not so sure on the later cars.
It does seem the xenons come with the PII package so I'm going by the rule that if the photo shows the keyless go then there's a good chance it has xenons.

(My 07 still had the washer button so of course, my manual has no mention of the no button/automatic spray system's automatic operation.)

One way to tell you the car is equipped with P2 or PII package is that you have to have to take a look at the shifter. If the shifter has this button in the middle, it will have xenon!
The shifter above has a push-in button, which mean it starts your start without a key, and I believe this keyless go feature is part of the PII package...

The poster above is correct. If the car has keyless-go and is 07+ it will have xenon. 2003-2006, headlamp washers were the indicator. Starting in 2007 they started putting washers on halogen cars.

I have read in another forum that Sport package included xenon on pre-'07 models, and all xenon models had the headlight washers. But is it possible for an E500 AMG-sports-package car to not have xenon; is it possible to have xenon as a standalone option (without having the headlight washers)? This is so confusing....lol
