Hello Family, Newest Member of MBworld!!
Hey Yall!!
My name is Miles and I'm excited to be apart of this great Mercedes community and i look forward to learn from the pros.
So with summer around the corner i'm thinking about lowering my car, what is the best coil over set i should be buying for my e350 4matic?
I did some research and people seem to be happy with KWs but can i get some more options please
Thanks

I just performed a search on "intake" because I wanted more info on the MAFS/K&N story and in one of the threads I read where a member mentioned lowering 4matics. I'll re-look the search and post the link for you.
EDIT: Here is where I read about the lowering springs for the 4matic: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ke-airbox.html post 3. This was back in 2008. Not sure if it went anywhere, could try to contact the member.

Despite what anyone would say, YES awd cars can be lowered. Whether or not you can find parts is another story. Would I suggest slamming it to the ground? Absolutely not, that messes with the driveline. But, if you were to lower it say 1.5" or less, I think you'd be fine. Don't forget, the driveline is built to handle the camber curve of the car lifting and lowering under load, you're just shortening that curve by lowering the car, as long as it's aligned properly.
I personally have AirMatic so it's easy (but not cheap) to lower my car a safe amount. I would not recommend coilovers as you'll be tempted to slam it and that's not good. Best bet would be to try and see if anyone makes lowering springs for it.
That being said, I'll pass along advice I've gotten from many old-time car guys that applies to thee cars more than any others:
Cheap, Fast, Reliable. You can only have two.
Cheap + Fast = not reliable.
Fast + Reliable = not cheap.
Cheap + Reliable = not fast.
(substitute fast for looks good and reliable for good quality as needed)
