Could someone please check my vin?
OK - so it's my first post and I am already asking for help (sorry). We plan to pull the trigger on a 2007 C280 tomorrow. It's for my daughter and we really don't want to be bitten by this balance shaft issue. If someone in the know could help us out I would really appreciate it! Thanks, Steve.

2008 ML 350
Hello guys...I own 2008 ML 350 with 60K on ODO, and few weeks ago CEL started to coming on and off. Upon visiting MB service, engineers have told me that codes 0064 & 0272 are reason for CEL activation and their advice is to replace all 4 camshaft adjustment solenoids (although only two were faulty: left exhaust - code P0025, and right intake - code P0012).
After reading all your posts I'm afraid that could be just beginning of much worst problem - balance shaft issue. VIN number is 4JGBB86E48A320881, so please could somebody tell me does my engine is within bad range...Mr. konigstiger maybe

It will save you a lot of time. Simply enter your VIN number, click "English", and select "Check". Affected cars are generally in the 2006-2007 model years, but not always.

So, I'm told today that this (balance shaft) needs replacing/fixing after I just dropped $1382 for central gateway and rear SAM...Also, now have to have audio gateway for radio/cd to work...Help!!
I wanted to know if mine is on the "affected" list. There is so much wrong with this vehicle
