Please help me with ideas and suggestions for a quality hood emblem that won't break the bank. I bought one from someone who posts on this forum and it started to rust after just one month. I guess you get what you pay for. However, do you guys have any suggestions for one that won't rust and won't break the bank. I saw one that was a little expensive for just a hood emblem. Thank you.

I just got back from my local Mercedes dealer and purchased a brand new flat hood emblem for $22.83 after tax. I'm personally not a fan of the upright hood star emblem and wanted a flat one. I too looked all over the web and was pleasantly surprised that MB sold them for a reasonable price, plus its OEM part. My receipt is in my car and will provide the part number this afternoon.

Zane-Z. Thanks for your reply. I would really appreciate the information with part number. Like i said, i bought an after market one and it was complete garbage as it rusted out in less than a month.

Hey zane, did that include the back piece attachment that holds the flat emblem from the inside of the hood?

Yes, that included everything. It simply clips into place.
