Command Unit + NAV Question PLZ

Check this out -

I have an 03 e500 Sport with the sh*tty tape deck.

I had a friend who totaled his car- he lets me take his Command Unit,.

I took the Head Unit and Nav Unit.

Everything was plug and play. My car had the wiring in the rear for
the NAV unit.

Stereo works everything works BUT the NAV.

There is ONE black wire that has an antenna line feel to it.
Its coming from the cars internal wiring in the trunk, it jumps off the
NAV units power and lead wires.

That is the only UNPLUGGED wire in the rear section. However there is
nowhere I can find for it to plug into. There is a similar wire that comes from the
front of the car to the back and then right behind trunk hinge on the driver side
it leads up and appears to route up to my cars snubby antenna.

Is this why my NAV doesnt work? I feels as if its my antenna for NAV?

Any thoughts why my NAV doesnt work?

It worked in the car I took it from right before I took it out.

ps - Also how or what do I need to install XM Sat Radio? Does that jump off my AUX or Can I really Have

CD, CDC, FM, AUX & SAT?? Really is MBZ this effing Awesome?

Did you install the dash and trunk units from your friends car? I think they both will need to be installed together for it to work.

Yes Im using both his Head Unit and His NAV Unit. And yes you are right they need to BOTH be plugged in for to head unit to work. My AUDIO works fine - But NO NAV.

Any thoughts>?

Do you have the gps splitter? Should be right next to the trunk hinge...1x1 box. One side has two hook ups and other has just one

On the driver rear passenger side did you connect the 2 orange fiber cables to complete the MOST connection? Kinda have to dig in there to find the cables. My Nav did the same thing until I completed the loop. Cables are located under the door sill.

- Driver Rear Passenger side? sorry thats confusing me.

My display says Navigation Device Unavailable

I had all my wires pre existing, my radio and all works.

I have a MOST plug back there already it was just zip tied up with the
other clip and antenna.

Is there ANOTHER MOST plug somewhere that needs to plug in?

So thankful for any help

Haha my bad. On my phone. Thought I deleted the passenger part. I meant to say rear door behind the driver.

- Pull up the door sill
- right under there should be a bunch of wires tied up.
- dig around and find the 2 orange fiber cables that need to be connected to each other to close the MOST loop. That should do it

Hate to be a pain in the *** I'm @ my car -
I found only 1 open ended Orange fiber cable
I found 2 others that are already connected with a black little box and 1 of them has 1 white dot on the box the other has 2 white dots on the box -

I got an 03 e500 sport - I lifted out every single wire down to the thick power wires -

Only found 1 orange fiber cable and has a 14 written on it.

Any thoughts?

I dug and I dug and I dug - nothing

I learned on another site that some cars need to have the MOST rerouted.

Not sure how yet, still working on it
