A/C red colour blinking button W211 E200 CDI- 2004
After driving for 1000km suddenly A/C started blinking and shut itself off. We have checked freon (by professional) he said is more than enough, so we have found evaporator sensor - and it is also OK, so what could be the next step where to look for the fault (FUSES are ALL RIGHT) - is there any Relay switch in fuse compartment under the bonnet that could be gone? or how to get A/C A/C engineer mode on (2 zone AC) W211 E200 CDI- 2004 - The 5 sec REST button doesn't work. However - bought new AC module and problem still exists - next step is to get into the "freezer" blower flaps
I have just got my car back from mechanic and the ac off button is illlimunated.
When I press it it just flashes a few times and goes back to being off.
Annoying the hell outta me, no power in the heater
who has connected his "equipment" and said that there is too much pressure in air con system - so we were thinking that we have full system. After 2 attempts of resetting computer the light was still back. We went to another aircon specialist in POland and he said that the idiot in UK almost fuc... our aircon system because in Mercedes there is some special way how do u measure pressure - at the first sight u can see that you have full pressure but there are 2 zones and you have to measure them separately - so he did check only 1 zone - the 2nd zone was empty and computer is preventing the whole thing against collapse by switching it off. He said if you force and reset computer 2 -3 times it will allow the system to work on low or no pressure your pump can be gone.
We have filled up the second zone and the system is on and working.

The potentially bad news is that with the W211 the AC control units can't be self diagnosed like the previous W210-----that means a trip to the dealer for a fix and or an indy with factory diagnostics or overlook the problem and live with it!!

This is the second time I've seen this statement. I've been trying to pull the error codes off my 2004 E55 AMG. Are you saying there is no way to pull these codes except for SDS?

If I reset it (remove battery leads in boot) is it a pain to resync everything back up.
