Keyless entry failed after battery disconnect.

Keyless entry failed after battery disconnect.
Here's a new one:
I've been having problems with Keyless Go start not working (nor dash lights with foot off the brake). Thought I'd try a reset by disconnecting the main battery for an hour. Didn't help ( I had low expectations that it would).
However, now all 4 doors and the trunk won't open with a pull of the handle. Nor will they lock with a push of the handle buttons. They all worked fine before the battery disconnect. This for both key fobs that have new batteries installed.
Anyone have an idea what's going on here? (tomorrow I'll try disconnecting the battery again)
Edit: disconnected the main battery overnight and no luck.

Second Problem: After disconnecting your battery your keys are probably not sync'd to the car anymore.
See your owners manual under Keyless Go, etc to resync them.

Thanks for the response, however, that's just a matter of starting the car w/the key in the ignition which, of course, I have to do because the Keyless start isn't working.

Funny you should ask Mike, I was just doing a search on where the fuse was, with no success.
Thanks for the info !
So, no I havn't checked yet, but will certainly do so tomorrow. If the fuse is good I think I'll ask my local MB dealer to do a sytem reset. Strange that a fuse would go just from disconnecting the battery, which I have done many times before.
Thanks for the info !

KEY LESS TRUNK ENTRY
The dealer checked the vehicle and said a key is require to open the trunk. I remember opening the trunk before the battery change without a key.
Any suggestions or references?

I had my E550 at the dealer for some repair. The dealer also replaced the battery. I remember opening trunk without the key. I can open the doors but not the trunk now. If I open the doors then I can open the trunk without a key.

I should have updated this thread, my bad. The problem for me was solved by having my dealer run DAS/Xentry (Star) Quick Test. It somehow reset the system and everything but the shifter started working again. This was at the suggestion of another member who had the same problem.
The shifter was a separate issue. See the sticky: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...re-broken.html

KEY LESS TRUNK ENTRY
If you have Keyless Go, then the trunk most definitely will open without the key (it has to be in your pocket, of course)

I will take the vehicle back to the dealer next week and ask them to try the fix you recommended.

I was rear ended about a month ago. There was slight damage to the rear bumper. During the repair of the bumper a wire to the trunk antenna was partially disconnected.
The tech connected the antenna and the trunk works now.
I can open the trunk only by pulling the handle. I can then close the trunk and the vehicle lights will flash locking the vehicle.
