New AMG's for my E500
This isn't a good pic and I'll post better tomorrow but I just got my new 18" Styling IV's and Michelin Pilot Sports put on today. I've got to tell you the Pilot's even in the larger size 245 40 18 as oppossed to the stock 245 45 17's ride smoother and quieter than the stock Continentals. I'm impressed. Like the look to. MBprince was my inspriration.

Great wheels STKLAW. Do you mind posting how much they cost for the set? I'd like to upgrade mine too but I'm afraid it will be a lot of money. I called tires.com before I took delivery of my replacement car to find out how much i could get on a trade of my standard wheels with no miles and i was told $400 for the set!

Nice
But then again, I bought the same wheels! I agree with your comment about the ride. I was pleasantly surprised. And I even went with a staggered setup, so i'm riding 275's in the rear, and the ride is neglible copared to the original setup. Since I went with a summer tire (Bridgestone SO3) I plan on putting the stock setup for winter months. Although I like the wheels so much i'll end up buying another set and putting the pilot sport A/S on it as well!

Yes,
Tinted with a 3M non-metalic film. Supposed to last a lot better than other non-metalics. I got non-metalic because I prefer less mirror type glare and I didn't want the dealer to give me any grief if something electrical didn't work right. On other cars I've had they have blamed it on the metallic tint.
Thanks for the inspiration on the wheels and tires. The photos you posted convinced me that was the only way to go.

Very nice indeed. It's amazing just how much wheels and tires can improve the overall look of a car, small rims with a poor design on a nice car is kind of like wearing a $2000 suit with sneakers.

Well, now you've got to update your signature picture, too!!
There's folks on the E55 forum who change out he stock E55 wheels/tires for 19 or 20" ones. Might be able to save a few bucks trolling that forum to see who might want to sell their old wheels.
Just a thought.

Around $2800 for the set. There is an improvement in quiet of about 40% and an improvement in ride about 30%. Handling 40%. But remember I came off Continentals.
