Windshield washer Fluid not sparying

My windshield washer's are not spraying fluid when i push the stock in to spray. The head light washers spray when i push the button.
I'm thinking it could be the washer sprayer motor. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

This time of the year i will need to repair this asap.
Thanks for your help.

Do you hear any sounds? Check the fuse as well. Could be the pump.

Have not done this repair on a w211, but I have on other german cars. Generally pretty easy.

I had this issue and just had a shop fix it for $120. It took them 30 minutes. I watched them pull off the passenger front wheel as the motor or relay thingy is behind the liner.

Good luck,

not a bad idea. The lines pop off at each nozzle. There is a 4 bolt plastic plate that has to be removed to get to that. But if the pump makes -0- noise, I doubt that will yield any useful information.

The pump is probably snapped into an indent into the outside/bottom side of washer reservoir. Tried to find a DIY for W211, didn't see one. The pump sells for $15 to $20. I'd buy one and replace it. Worse case you're out $20 and you have a new pump.

BTW doubt there's a relay in that location. Likely fender well liner removal is likely access to the pump location.

I think you're right, I believe it was a pump they replaced.

Getting access in there is not bad. Better if the wheel was off. There are a couple 8mm nuts and at the bottom of the liner, in front of the tire, below the headlight location there are 2 of those compression pin connectors to pop out. The liner is actually 2 liners, a front have and a rear half. I think you'd only need to play with the front half. I say 'play' because you may not need to remove it entirely, just ply it away from where you need access.

That said, $120 to have the job done including parts is not bad.

Washer Fluid Pump DIY

Just finished the fixing the washer fluid system. Very easy to DIY... Good thing i listened to you and bought the washer fluid pump before hand!
The pump died and needed to be replaced. $50 later and max 1.5 hours (majority of time spent with the plastic wheel well front and rear cover)

The pump is located behind the rear cover.. FYI pretty much my whole tank of washer fluid dumped out when i disconnected the hose to the pump lol

Thanks again for everyone's help, I'm just hoping that all the DIY on the car will be this easy!!!! : )

Hate to tell you, unless you're a mechanic probably not. However things like side-marker light swaps and things that have to do with disassembling the plastic wheel well covers are pretty easy. Did that myself and I'm really bad (or inexperienced) with these things, so I guess it really depends on the specific fix and the individual. Glad you're enjoying your new E500 and happy new year man!

Angry Fluid not spraying

I think I'm having the same issue. I have an 06 C280. The wipers move fine; I hear the motor, but no fluid is dispersed. Of course we've topped off the fluid thinking it was out, but that's not it. If the motor is working, what could it be?

Sounds like the pump for the washer fluid needs to be replaced, same thing that happened to me. Very easy fix, just locate your washer fluid jug, get someone to listen while you try sparying the washer fluid, if you do not hear a pump noise then thats the issue.
Good luck.....

Hello everyone, have the same problem on my c43 amg. When I try to spray the water on my windshield with the jets nothing happens only the wiper blade move. The pump also doesn't make a sound. I was wondering if anyone knew the part number and a good website to order one.

Elephant in the room

I see all these posts about the washer motor not working and the fix seems to be to replace it but one question that seems to loom large in the foreground is: did Mercedes leave out a fuse or relay for the washer motor? I read this this is the case somewhere in a post and I cannot find a fuse or relay reference to the washer motor ANYWHERE. Please tell me that this is not the case... how could the motor not need a fuse/relay?
If someone has already gone through this could you please, PLEASE, let me know. I don't have an issue replacing the washer motor, would just like to cover some bases before I get to that step.
