I decided to go a different route on my car and sadly have to sell my AMG E55/CLS55/SL55 big brake kit (for the front).

These are the MONSTER Brembo 8 piston AMG calipers in factory silver with the AMG painted logo.

This kit is great not only because of its insane performance and looks but because it fits so many types of Mercedes autos! These brakes will bolt up to any CLS500/550/55/63 (W219 body), any E350/500/55/63 (W211 body), and I believe the SL's from 03-09.

This package includes:

1. Pair of OEM AMG calipers in good shape lightly used. I even got OEM ABS sensors AND brake lines which are included.

2. BRAND NEW brake rotors. HUGE OEM spec 14" cross drilled vented rotors.

3. BRAND NEW ceramic brake pads. A full set of pads (the calipers use 4 pads each!), low brake dust, zero noise, high performance brake pads.

Don't think they just bolt on to a W211... don't you need new spindles, too?

Direct bolt up, even uses the same caliper bolts.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the front spindles must be replaced as well...different diameter for the caliper bolts.

You know this is the W211, E-Class forum, you're posting in, right?

They do not just bolt on to W211's. They require different spindles. Considerable labor and expense added in doing that.

Seems pretty odd that they would bolt up to a CLS but not an E. I don't know if the spindles are just an extra bonus but it's not mentioned being required from other site vendors selling these brakes either.

The CLS is based on the W211 chassis, but is not the W211 chassis... they are not identical... so there are differences.

All I can tell you is that if you do a search, it's been done, and requires the additional spindles on the W211.
