Anyone transported 4 wheels with tires in their car?

I'm going to go buy a set of used wheels with tires and was wondering if anyone had tried fitting four in their car (2 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat). These are just standard 17" 7.5 wheels.

It will work I think. I carried 4 18x8.5 only one would fit in the trunk.

Yes I fit all four of the OEM 18" in my car with tires on them (they were 40 series tires I believe). I had one in the trunk, then two behind each front seat that wedged one on the center seat in the back. Make sure you have them in bags or bring along some towels for padding, just be careful that with that configuration - the only way it will really fit - you can't make any sudden stops or the wheel will fly into the back of your seat and it will hurt

That's what I ended up doing. A shame I couldn't get two in the trunk.

Yes it works . I did with 245/45/17 wheels. the one in the back seat are just little wide for the doors but it is ok.

May be you can put three of them in the trunck. with unflated tires it is mor easy. then you inflate them after transportation

You can't fit three wheels (18s that is) in the trunk only 2. With tires only one as DubVBenz said. You might be able to with 17s but only if you don't have tires on them.

I fit two in the trunk and two in the back seat. I also have a 12" JL sub in the trunk. My wheels are 18" though.

When I go to the track, I fit one in the trunk, one behind the driver seat and two behind the passenger seat. I use the child seat hard points to keep the tires tied down.

I use an old sheet to protect everything inside the car.

Well I usually just buy a G63 AMG every time and haul them around that way.
