7G is the new 7 Speed Transmission that will be on 2004 V8 Models
E 500, S 430, S500, Cl 500 and SL 500. The data I included is for the E500. Check the JESMB web site for data on the other models.

I doubt that the gas guzzller tax will be removed since my calculations only show about .5 mpg improvement. Also since they use the CAFE basis to assign the gas guzzler tax we don't know how they will treat our E500's. Maybe since they have sold a large number of C Class cars during the past year this may help the corporate average fuel economy. It would certainly be a major marketing plus if the tax could be removed on the E500.
