Pano Shade Is Stuck- Loud Grinding Noise
Not sure if this is the same problem that is common to the Pano Roofs in the W211's
but... i had my pano opened fully today, went to shut it and the glass closed but the shade front and rear will not close.. I hear a loud grinding noise when trying to close it. The sun roof itself still open and tilts but i do not want to keep opening it.
I have a extended warranty which is exclusionary, and in the section of what is NOT covered all i could find pertaining to the sunroof is "sunroof frame & assembly".. so the motor is covered.
I did have the pano worked on before for a bad noise which ended up just being a loose screw but that was months ago, I've open and closed it 100x by then. So this is a totally different issue.
I have a appointment at the dealer tom.

Had pano motor replaced over 3 years ago and same issue is back! Roof opens slowly and same grinding noise. I reset the fuse #9 in the trunk and that was able to allow me to shut the shade. After a few times of opening and closing, its stuck again. Guess reseting the fuse and keeping the shade closed is my option. Not going to bother with this again (warranty expired) on a 11 year old car. You think the motor would last longer!
