NO! 2009!

Also wouldn't you benefit from a turbo over n/a when you're like a mile-high? And how much does 4matic affect you up there?

Nahhh I found the perfect california-native 2007 that already has resonator delete, 19" wheels similar to Fila's car, tinted sidemarkers, etc etc. And yes I would but elevation affects all engines, just forced induction engines a bit less. Still though, the E550 performs pretty well against most things around my city.

I'm looking at one in the low 30s. My dream is to have the E63, do a few more mods and garage queen it, then get a 240sx as my daily and slowly do an SR20DET build with it. Probably cheaper that way too but we'll see it has to be driven hard either way. I would but I think I'll get into enough trouble with 507hp

Thanks my friend and I would never, I plan to own Mercedes vehicles for the rest of my life as long as I can afford it! Having driven a fair number of BMWs, almost everyone I've been behind the wheel of the brakes are annoyingly sensitive and the steering feels artificially heavy - very annoying and not comfortable at all.

Yeah my original plan was to go from E550 to C63 then work my way up the AMG chain but I'm in a situation now where I can get into an E63 for a really good price if I can sell my car and it's worth it. My ultimate dream one day is owning a Ferrari flagship GT car (a berlinetta of some sort) but I ave a lot of school to finish up before that!

Thanks guys! God I hope this car sells in time so I don't miss out on the E63. Obviously the dealership uses pressure sales tactics to suggest that the car may sell soon but I'm just trusting this supposedly serious buyer will come through for me. In any case, I guess what happens is meant to happen and if not this E63 then another.

I've found someone who says he's very interested and wants to test drive it. I'm selling for $21k and 126,000 miles (perhaps a bit high), but I hope to sell to a car enthusiast that sees the value in the $9800 I've put into the car over two years with so many new parts. You can get a few E550s for 18 or 19 but they are all in terrible condition.

I bought it with 107 on it, and honestly it's not the miles that really matter. It's engine hours if you think about it, just like airplanes. A car may have 50k on it and sell for much more, but if those miles are all in the city there's much more mechanical strain on the vehicle. As my indie shop told me, it's cars that aren't driven or driven often that have the strangest and most expensive issues. Not at all saying you're in that boat with a 2007 but still, I think the condition of my E speaks for itself in a sense ya know?

I drive my car spirited for sure, and I find that if I maintain it well and put the necessary money into it mechanically and aesthetically it has no issues at all. There's a difference between abuse and driving the car as intended. Just look at the engineering these cars go through. Mercedes does their high altitude testing here in Colorado and straps a several thousand pound trailer to an SLK and runs it up and down lookout mountain until something breaks. It's insane.

Wow, that is pretty insane. That's why Mercedes will always be Mercedes.
Do you know of a link or a website where they show those testings? I'd like to see it
