W211 engine block drain plug

I have a 04 E320 wagon. I try to flush the coolant system, but having problem allocating the engine block drain plug. Is it on the driver side or passenger side (one forum thread said it was on the driver side, but I couldn't find it)? What color is it? A picture will be nice.

I think I found it - can someone confirm my finding?

It is located right under oil filter (04 E320 RWD). Can someone confirm it?

To view the photos, right-click the link and then choose "Open link on new tab" or "Open link on new window".

Engine Block Drain Plug?

Are you serious? There is no engine DRAIN PLUG.

If you are thinking there's a relief valve for the radiator then that's another issue.

I just changed the water pump on my 211 and believe me theres no drain plug. Like on the oil pan.

You pop the bottom hose and drain it into a suitable container. Its messy and not fun but it will come out in a hurry.

crankcase drain plug

I might call it wrong. Some places call it "crankcase drain plug". There is a diagram shown here

but I am having a hard time to find it.

Is #41 the top coolant bleeder?

Rememer to get rid of all the air in the engine block after the refilling.
I got cavitation of some aluminum parts and a burst hose on my other car. Almost every coolant service (even by the dealer) has left air in the system.
