Akebono brake pads for the E320's

I just put new pads on my 06 CDI, my wifes E320 is next. Advance Auto parts sells them. If go to their website and put your make/model and do a search I don't get them showing up for my car. I want to Akebono's website and got their part number EUR987 and EUR986 and they do sell them. Google "advance auto coupons" and today I found a 30 percent off coupon. The total after tax was 106.00 shipped to the house for fronts and rears. When I put them on my CDI the rears came with sensors, the fronts did not. I thought that was weird. But I purchased them separately anyway so I have some extras now.
Oh, and they are very nice pads. They don't dust anything like the factory pads. I thought replacement was very easy. I just disconnected the connector at the SBC module and went to work. No problem. I thought I would leave a heads up for anyone that needs pads and wants to save some $$$.

LOL is that new math? I paid 106 for both sets shipped to the house, and if I understand correctly you paid 167.00 for both sets?

HOW DARE YOU. HOW DARE YOU TRY TO SAVE MONEY ON BENZ PARTS. +1 on what you said Beejay, it's a matter of respect especially towards the more senior and friendly members of the forum. Protip: Crafty is probably one of your better resources on this forum for questions / style advice when it comes to Mercedes, so probably not best to burn your bridges right away.

Maintenance? Greasemonkey
Mechanical Work? Walmart automotive center
Paint & Body? MAACO.

These are the only companies you are allowed to use here on MBWorld. $9.99 oil change with coupon.

Oil change? Oh please, just top it off back to 8.5 quarts and good to go. Don't forgot about Jiffylube!

I highly recommend Akebono pads. I barely see any brake dust since switching.

Ray, Akebono pads are pretty well known among the forum members here so thanks for the confirmation on this. I'm more biased towards the StopTech Street Performance pads because of the increased stopping power and awesome bite but it's always helpful to remember coupon codes when buying from places like advanced auto or even arnott, very helpful.

Affalterbach,
yeah, I read up on them here. They are way, way better than the factory ones, I can tell in the short time they have been on. (stopping is the same, just no dust to speak of) They seem to be a forum favorite and I agree. I am just trying to save some people some money. I know if you own a Benz money is no object.......

Lemon and I are actually both students, and I'm 18, so money isn't exactly an abundant resource for a lot of us. Head to some of the newer and higher end AMG forums, however, and you'll definitely find some people that put what seem like unlimited amounts of money into cars. I forget who it was but a year or two ago there was a thread about "post a picture of what's in your garage" and there's one guy on here that had, on top of a very nice garage, a Lamborghini Aventador and a very nice AMG. They've earned it though - I hope to be there one day, but part of that is being a savvy buyer and not wasting money on things like OEM brakes which are a ripoff for what they are. We were just giving you crap for saying that to Crafty since he's one of the nicest members on here.
