Photos of Pacific Blue Interior
Below are links to two photos of the Pacific Blue Interior in the Platinum Blue 2004 E Class we recently picked up on European Delivery. In my opinion these photos more accurately depict the shade of blue than some of the other photos that have been posted in the past.

Would be interested if others who have seen the Pacific Blue Interior agree these are a more accurate representation.

Thanks for alerting me. I have just changed the setting to public viewing so the links should work now.
Here is an additional link showing the "Mischevious Santa" referenced as well as two versions of the Mercedes Smart Car, the city commuter and the sports version, neither of which unfortunately will make it to our shores.

I just purchased a white 2004 E320 with a blue interior. It looks nothing like those pictures. The blue is more subdued than it is in the photos.
I have always been a black/gray interior person but this blue is a sweet color. IMHO it looks very classy.
I will post some pics with my Olynpus C750 which should give some very accurate pictures.

That looks awesome!!
I simply do not understand my fellow Americans who only buy silver, white, and black cars. WHY? Why, I ask, buy a $50,000 Mercedes-Benz only to get a color like everybody else?
I was in L.A. recently and saw lots of new E Classes but they seemed to be either black or silver. There ARE other colors available.

Westsidewagon - your observation is accurate. I think it has something to do with dealers preordering and being afraid to try new colors. Sort of like the California mind set with regard to making movies - go for the sure thing (sequel or formula film) rather than be innovative.

More psychology talk, I see
Now this thread is sounding more like the bashing that was going on between M-B and Lexus owners on a General Discussion thread.
Guys - just realize that this is a free world, which includes the choice of "boring" colors. Don't knock or try to psychanalyze these guys (including me), since "speaking for the masses" ain't even close to reality.

A race on the street?
Even worse...
In L.A. I recently saw a lot (relatively) MB SLs that were either silver or black or silver or black. Buying/leasing a $120,000 SL55 AMG only to have an identical SL55 AMG pull up alongside in the same color combo would royally bite. WWHHYY not get a designo pack or special order a nice color?

MadManAboutTown - I sense that having a silver or black Mercedes in Ohio is less an issue than California where it seems one of every three cars on the road in certain areas are Mercedes. Quite frankly silver is one of my favorite colors for the E, but if I had silver I would prefer everyone else not having it too. My complaint is not with purchasers who order silver but rather withthe dealers who only order a few colors to put on their lots and thus give no choice to the customers who might otherwise go for some of the other attractive colors.

How is it selfish?
I don't own an E Class. My parents bought their first Mercedes-Benz last year though. It is a 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 wagon with 9,500 miles on it now.
I like silver, but I don't understand why MBUSA doesn't offer a bluish-silver.
