E 500 AIR SUSPENSION FILTER HOSES NEED HELP
My 05 E 500 was giving me a message to visit workshop
I took a peek at the comressor and the tube was broken that connects to the filter it was broken on both sides , but i can not find where the other end of the tube that comes off of the filter connects to can some one help me with this ?
Any pictures or diagrams of the filter and where it goes ??????????

If you're getting a message to visit the workshop, the broken hose may have allowed enough dirt get into the compressor to damage it, and you may need to repair or replace it. See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ce-filter.html

Ok wow i really appriciate that , its just soo strange because there was a small clamp that fell off of the other end of the hose any ways compressor probably is filled with dirt and oil and sounds like its shorting out now we know why lol

I have done both hoses and filter. Will see if I had any pictures. (or found any)
Otherwise I can take some.
My hoses were cracked AFTER the filter, so the pump was shot as DanG2 warns.
I replaced the pump, hose to the filter, the filter (was visibly dirty @ 120k) and the hose to the air cleaner assembly.

The hose on the upper part of the filter (the filter inlet) goes to atmosphere just like the inlet to the filter of pretty much any air compressor goes to atmosphere. EPC lists the hose as,"FROM CROSSMEMBER TO AIR FILTER," so I expect that if you look around on the crossmember you should be able to find a bracket that the hose tucks into, as shown in the following screenshot:

DanG2 your the man i knew some body would know this , now i know i am not crazy there was a small clamp on the end of the hose so i know that it goes some where i will be doing some more work on saterday cleaning the comressor and putting the hose in correctly i will report progess thanks alot
