New Member Intro - E500 Wagon Project Begins
Hello Everyone,
I was a member on here around 2 years back but on the C63 forum with a car I had been working on as a project car although have lost that username and can't remember which account it was linked to. Anyway. I recently purchased a 2004 E500 Avantgarde Wagon with 108k kms on the clock. It was imported to Dubai from Japan and is in immaculate condition.
I am planning to build something stunning and am grateful to all the info I have already read on here. I was going to post this build over at Benzworld but since the C63 was over here, I will keep to here.
The car has an E55 kit on it including exhaust system and am planning many things for it - most of them cosmetic but will spend a little time on the engine and performance but not too much.
My plans are better looking rotors, lowering kit, lights, probably a full respray in a different colour, did the wheels today, E63 front bumper or something completely different, rear diffuser, mirrors and a few other things.
Anyway, thought I would quickly introduce myself and use this thread to keep all my updates and progress done in the one place.
Hope to learn loads.

Oh, also debadged it and removed the resonator. Some pics of the first mods.
If anyone can decode mine to provide specs, I would be so grateful. Can't find info online

Nicely optioned car but I am confused japan is RHD but this car is LHD but in the build sheet it says its a japan car? Did they not build the wagon in RHD so just imported the LHD?

Japan does indeed drive on the left with RHD being the most common however there are quite a few cars in Japan that are LHD. Many of the LHD vehicles when sold end up going for export as they get more than they would in the local market.

So I got a few slightly better pics of the car as it stands now with the tints and the wheels. The E63 bumper has been put in for painting and will get that fitted in a few days time. Will probably upgrade the lights to the last year W211s as well but one step at a time. More pics to follow

That's a great looking car, congratulations! I had an option of spending a bit more and going for an E500 W211 myself but I chose the W210 E55 S210 over it.
Where are you having it serviced and modified? I've been told Silber Arrow here do a great job and are much cheaper than Gargash.
Could you generate a Data Card for me too please?
