Couple of AMG Exhaust questions

Ok so I've searched the forum and for some reason I cannot come to an exact answer. I have not looked at my window sticker yet to determine what the official code is for my AMG sport package, but I will get to it.

Question 1: I just bought a set of AMG mufflers, the part numbers are A211 491 19 00 and A211 491 20 00. Are these E55 or E63? It also says 06/07 right below the part number. I think they are 07' E63, which would be perfect numbers match for my 07' car.

Question 2: I looked behind my rear bumper last night and I cannot see any lines or indication on where the quad exhaust cut out is as I've read that certain sport bumpers do have, assuming my AMG sport bumper which is identical to the real AMG car's bumper, minus the cutout, would have.

Question 3: Can I remove the black plastic finishing panel on my bumper to trim separately? It seems to be on there with adhesive? Should I attempt to remove or buy the AMG quad exhaust panel that I've also come to learn is available? The part numbers I am finding for this panel are 2118851325 and 2118855025, which is which? Also confused on this.

PS- This is my rear bumper.

Quote: Question 1 answer-- your muffer numbers are not in EPC--the E63 numbers are-211 490 59 21(rear L)----211 490 60 21(rear R)---but without a VIN they could also be suspect----then WTF told you to do this!!
I have to reconfirm the part numbers. The mufflers do not look faked or fabrocated, they have all the markings and stampings of an AMG muffler. I don't think the VIN is available, but there are numbers on the mufflers I can get. Will there be any VIN digits on them?

Also, doing a search on eBay for E63 mufflers, I found a set with almost the same part number, 211 491 20 00.

Quote: A VIN=vehicle identification number, has nothing to do with a fooooooken muffler--you best take a huge step back and do some research at a dealer.

All I did was call up an 211 E63 in EPC(because you said that was best) and went to exhaust, however there at 6/8 cylinder systems. The muffler parts I provided are for an 8 cylinder.

You do the same at a dealer---wada you get!!!
Well, my question was would the muffler have the last few digits of the vehicles vin, I was not sure if they did that. Some manufacturers stamp body panels and bumpers with VIN numbers, so that's why I asked.

Are there AMG mufflers for 6 cylinder cars? Could you check? These mufflers don't seem to be cut, or if they are it's a very clean cut that was smoothed out. What I'm thinking now is that these might be the AMG accessory mufflers for non-AMG cars.

Quote: Yes, but I am not going to do your leg work---you do that and subscribe free to EPC
Lol...could you at least direct me to the EPC? Thanks.

Edit: Got it, thanks.

Update

Q1: Ok so the part numbers ARE 211 491 19 00 and 211 491 19 00. Still trying to figure out exactly what they are.

Q 2: My rear bumper has the line for cutting for quad tips. It's on the outside, under the black plastic cover/trim piece. I used a heat gun and pulled it off, and viola it's there.

Q3: What is the quad exhaust black pastic cover/trim piece for quad tips on my car? The part numbers I am finding for this panel are 2118851325 and 2118855025, which is which?

If Plutoe says jump, then you say how high! But again, the etching on these mufflers looks suspect, very clean for a used part!

That's all I could find by searching. I cannot find anything on parts websites & diagrams. Could anybody shed some light and give input?

Take a look at this....

You see the close up shot of the muffler? Identical to mine...

(1) Your mufflers probably say Amg because there on a Amg sport package (not a 55/63) those are tuned for the 55/63's and sound much different ..
(2) Your bumper "again" is only sport package and will not be able to fit quad pipes by changing the diffuser, because it won't fit your bumper.

Not sure why you posted now but this has already been discussed and solved last June.

The mufflers I purchased were from a '07 E63. My AMG sport package bumper is the same as the E63's, and has the quad tip cutout behind the black plastic trim that is attached via double sided tape. And the sound has completely changed and actually sounds fantastic.

Overall I am super happy with the mod and suggest it to everybody!
