Response

Im pretty tight with several local Bay Area shops.. mainly VIP Motorworks, M Motorsports, and Topline. So I pretty much pay wholesale for everything. The steering wheel was $700 shipped, only gripe is that it doesnt say Brabus anywhere on the wheel but it came in a Brabus Germany box. All the Brabus stuff I got from M Motorsports and Lorinser stuff from Topline. I like the CL grill on the E class, I guess its a matter of preference. Ive had several ppl ask me what the car was including several CL and SL owners. Im deciding if Im going to go with the Brabus kit or the Lorinser, I can get a great deal on the WALD but I think its a bit subtle.

Oh yea?

When are u planning to be at Zim's next? Id like to check out ur car and see the Brabus kit up close. I dont want to seem like Im copying you.. but Im either gonna go Loriner or Brabus, but I got more Brabus stuff then Lorinser plus I like the 4 fog light look much better than the 2 of Lorinsers... I had the Lorinser DTM kit on my CLK before. If you dont mind, Id like to take a look at your car and maybe take some pics and video. You ask Zim bout me.. Im pretty close to him.. tell him Phil Wong's E500. Hit me up at ogbenzoca@aol.com

OGBenzo - Looking for a shop that I can trust my e55. Which is the best shop of the three you have mentioned - VIP, M or Topline?

Thanks.

Answer

Is your car still there? Im planning to drop by tomorrow, maybe get a oil change at Zims.

As for best shop for E55, Id recommend Zim for most of the labor or even parts. VIP is the stereo shop that did Zim's Wald S class for the Moscone car show. VIP is a shop that does mostly high end sound systems and multimedia systems. They also do lots of big chrome wheels for trucks and SUVs. M is unrelated to both of these. M Motorsports has been around for bout 8 yrs now and they primarily do performance parts for euro cars. Their main concentration is BMW stuff.. authorized on Hamann, ACS, and a few other Bimmer companies. They also do a lot of Lorinser and Brabus for Benzs. They dont have the mechanical expertise like Topline, but their prices for parts are much less. Depends on what you need done and what parts you need, different needs for different folks. Overall, your best bet would be Zim, and he works closely with VIP if you need audio stuff done. VIP did the system on the full Techart 911 turbo that you see at shows.
