How to install facelift seats in pre-facelift car?

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to put facelift seats into pre-facelift?

I have a pair of front seats but the modules on the pre and post-facelifts are different.

Have anyone done this or has any clue. These seats I have are in MINT condition and they're a true black, much darker than ALL prefacelift seats. They're bolstered better too and just look better.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone have an idea?

By the way I already tried swapping the cushion and even just the leather. The padding is different shaped and different sized and the base (metal) is different too.

Spend some time on EPC to explore the different part numbers between the two seats.

Well I plugged in the FACELIFT driver's seat to the passenger side on the car. The connectors fit, even though there's one more connector on the seat module that doesn't have an equivalent wire in the car harness. Nothing happened. I've tested the motors so I know they work. Could it be a driver's side/passenger side thing or is it just not compatible?

Why on Earth would they change the wiring harness and module? It doesn't make sense financially to design a new system that does exactly what the old one did. So weird.

Don't forget the facelift models come with Pre-Safe which can control the seat on its own in case of an emergency, maybe this is why the harness is different.

I think there are harnesses you can buy to cancel this.

I was thinking of maybe wiring the new frame to use the old control module. It's basically just the motors to be honest because the airbag can be used from the old and therefore compatible with the old module, the seat belt from the old as well. The only thing is, the motors they use are different to the older ones so I'm not sure it's just a basic rewiring. I don't wanna start blowing fuses.

The seats I have are in PERFECT condition and I honestly tried to find older style seats in the same condition or even close but they're all faded and have cracks. The ones I have are like BRAND NEW so I'm really frustrated that I can't use them.

I'm looking to do the same thing for the Wife's car. Did you have any luck getting these to work?

Mercedes E Class 320 CDI
¿Compatibility?

Hello, I hope you are all well and I hope you respond to this message after continuing it years later hehehe.

I just bought a 2003 model E and the interior is honestly destroyed... I bought a complete interior for a 2008 model year 2 weeks ago and I'm thinking about installing the seats in my 2003 car... if I couldn't I would like to be able to exchange the seat frame but I don't know if this will be compatible or possible. Has anyone done something similar or have you achieved it? I would appreciate answers and forgive me for my English, I am Spanish...
kiss!
