Extended warranty: I'm getting the runaround...
MB "replaced" my Lemon '03 W211 with an '04 4MATIC. I paid some extra $$$ for the upgrades. For the most part, the deal was fine EXCEPT the dealer failed to include my extended warranty and tire protection plan in the transaction (which was already typed up).
These two issues were to be cleared up later once the dealer spoke with MB. So, here I am 4 weeks out still waiting for a response, mostly from the dealer who won't return my calls.
So, here are my questions:
1. Is one year from the date of purchase still the time limit for purchasing a factory extended warranty for new vehicles?
2. Is Lisa Lehrbaum in Chico,CA still one of the best contacts for factory warranty coverage?
3. Pricing for warranty coverage on an E500 4MATIC?
This whole dealer experience has been bittersweet. My replacement car rides like a dream, but all the little details make me sick...
TIA and Cheers.
2. yes, Lisa provides the best deal (you should research it.)
3. Lisa will mail or fax you a form, you have to fill it out and fax it back, the extended warranty is based on the VIN, I don't see there is difference between 4matic or the regular one. because it seems the warranty does not care your car is loaded or not -- obviously, a loaded car takes a BIG atvantage of it.

Can someone post "Lisa"'s contact information?? Does it matter that we purchased the car "used"?? (2003 E500 SPORT with 400miles) Thanks!
As long as your W211 is less than 12 months old and I think less than 12000miles, you can still buy the MB extended warranty.
As for Lisa's info, if you do a search within this forum, you will find it. GL
