Parts for replacement of the timing chain.
W211 E350 4 matic 2007
WDB2110871B138440
I want to replace the timing chain.
Mileage 140,000 km.
I live in Siberia,so such cars are really rarity here and specialists are not enough.
What parts do I need for this procedure?
What do you recommend to change at the same time?
What needs to be changed according to the MB technology? (by WIS)
Thanks in advance

Wow, do you have a huge job.---in any event you will need access to EPC and WIS and special tools and loads of vodka----if not export the car to Afghanistan!!
you will need a chain
you will need all the timing case gaskets
you will need the four side rails and pins
Then in WIS start with document AR0510P7601TS--then there are ten others!!

First question is why you want to replace the chain at such low kilometrage?
Than if you do the job, get WIS here http://workshop-manuals.com/mercedesbenz/

I want to change the timing chain because there are current errors (1208 and 1200)
The engine number is 27297230612212. (Balance shaft gear issues should be solved)

Respect bro.
Helpful information. I will use parts numbers that you have provided.

You could actually just "roll" a new chain into your existing one..... again you need experience and the correct tools.....

and you need a balance shaft. That chain may temporarily help but that same codes coming right back on no matter what you've heard on seen. Code of DEATH!!!!
with that said, since you're front cover has to be removed to replace shaft, might as well roll a new chain in too. Just my two cents....

I'm not going to do the change work by myself.
But its necessary to pre-order parts. I want to save some money.
I realize, subject has been beaten to death, but my engine number is 27297230612212 so I hope I dont need new balance shaft.
Can anyone confirm that I'm right?
Replace the timing chain and replace the balancing shaft is not the same thing.
For replace the balancing shaft gear need to extract the engine.
This is completely different money.

1200 or 1208 fault codes stored in ME, gear on balance shaft is worn. Balance shaft needs to be replaced....
Since you are past clean point has your mechanic checked timing? If timing is off yes, chain could be stretched but i'm willing to bet there's metal shavings in your lower oil pan from the metal gear on the balance shaft....
check timing first and foremost, if it hasn't been done.
If timing is off, someone familiar with the product would be able to decipher what exactly is wrong but in your case you could bore scope the shaft and see what condition it's in.
If you are only willing to do the chain you do not need to remove front cover.
