Service B Indicator: Reset = "Service Not Confirmed"

Hey everyone, looking for a little help here in resetting the Service B indicator. After completing the service this morning, I went through the cluster menu to reset the service indicator. I followed these instructions:

a) Turn ignition key to '1'
b) Press the lower system selection button (left hand edge of steering wheel) until you have the Basic display with mileage or temperature in the display
c) Press the odometer reset button briefly 3 times and you see the voltage display on the cluster and a ping is heard
d) use the scroll down arrow button until you see the 'Service menu'
e) Use +/- buttons to select the menu item "Confirmation" then press the lower system selection button to confirm ("Complete service" is highlighted in display)
f) Confirm full service by pressing lower system selection button ("Service Confirmed" appears)
g) Press top system selection button until you get back to Service menu
h) Use +/- buttons to select the 'Special Work' menu and Press the lower system selection button to confirm
i) Use +/- buttons to select Service 13 & press lower system selection button to confirm
j) Use +/- buttons to select the oil grade you used & press lower system selection button to confirm (nb, where only 1 grade of oil is allowed, there wont be a selection available)
k) repeatedly press bottom system selection button until out of service mode

When I got to step i), I don't know what I hit but then it read: "Service 13 deleted." I then started all over but when I got back to step f) it reads "Service Not Confirmed." Also, the Special Work menu has disappeared.

I have tried the reset procedure multiple times with the same result. Every time I start my car, the cluster reads: "Service B Exceeded by XXX miles."

Anyone know how I can reset this? All help appreciated.

Got it Resolved

I managed to resolve it. I'll post what I did in case it can help anyone down the road as almost everything I read indicated it was time for a trip to the dealer to reset the ASSYST computer (I called the dealer and said they wouldn't do it, since they didn't perform the actual service for Service B).

How I resolved it:
I went back into the service menu to Cancel Service. I selected "Cancel Full Service," confirmed it until it read "Cancelled."

I cycled the ignition by turning ignition key off, started the engine and shut it back down.
Turned the key back to position 1, went back into the service menu and followed the steps to confirm full service.
This time it worked.

I have the same problem with service B
I have deleted by mistake ( I wasnt aware of) service 12, 13, 14
when trying to confirm the oil service it says service not confirmed
it has 2 types of oil as a menu but it doesnt confirm them
now it has 90.000 service B exceeded
maybe the previous owner changed the mileage and it doesnt recognize the services anymore?
is something that I can do to repair this?

I have a similar issue.
I have a W211 2006 E350 Avantgarde Facelift
The problem is before I got the car the mileage was altered.
The original mileage is 213000
The mileage on the odometer is 142000
I did a service D on the car as per the notice on the ASSYST system
I can confirm some services , well most of them aside from standard oil and other oil service.

sorted my issue out.
had the mileage adjusted from 142000 kays to 214000 kays based on car service details and mileage driven.
set and acknowledged all services 1st time including all service.
next service now is service A
all working fine now.
cost me $307 to do for the mileage adjustment back to what it is supposed to be.
I see the service intervals seems to be every 20000 kilometres

I was able to get past this.

I did these steps, I don't know if all are needed.
I reset to factory defaults, via the display by pressing the R button for 3 seconds.
I cleared all pending fault codes with a odb2 code reader.
I went into the service menu and opened the 1st menu option for service data. It was showing 20,000 or so many miles past service and 1000 days or so many days past service. I used the plus and minus buttons to move down until the days past service was highlighted. Then pressed and held the "R" button until it returned to the mileage display. I repeated the same steps for the miles past service. Then it displayed 13000 and 365 days until next service as it has in the past. (Service C specifically) I hope that helps in some way.

MB E220 W211 2008 was not possible to reset the service D. I think the kilometers are changed. Can anyone tell me how this can be done? How can I make these settings with MB Star C4 / C5 in ASSYST PLUS? Please help. Thank you.
