Sound System Questions (Comand/Nav)
It has made crakling noises which got louder and then it turned itself off twice & I was unable to get it to play in any mode until a restart several hours later. It has stayed in the daytime screen illumination mode at night once for a 24 hour period, it has made a high pitched squeel and rebooted once while playing a single CD. It has also mysteriously switched to playing a CD from the stacker while displaying the FM Radio Screen while I was listening to an FM ststion!
Is the US Sirius Satellite radio kit available at the dealer yet?
The software upgrade should take care of your "static" issue and other command problems - do a search on radio static to learn more.
I am not aware of anyway to scroll through the presets. It has been discussed on this forum several times and no one seems have an answer for that one.

On European spec vehicles this is a standard feature.

Just seems strange that they would carry this function in the US for older versions, then delete it just in the US for the 211 while still providing it to Europe...
good luck.

Regardless of whether preset stations can be scrolled on other MB models, it's not available on any North American W211. End of discussion.

I am very sorry if I have caused offense by supplying the inbformation.

It should be an FAQ that the North American W211s do not have preset radio scrolling ability.
My old R230 has the feature, but the W211s definitely don't.
Sorry for sounding a bit harsh but it was getting rather confusing.
Have a good day,
John
