Wheels = $3,250

Tires = $1,100

Nice wheels and you definatly bought yourself an excellent set of brakes.... Although I have to wonder why you felt you needed to upgrade the O.E.M brakes that come with the e500.... The stock braking system is one of the best O.E.M systems I've ever had in a car period. Pleanty of stopping power under foot at all times in my opionion. Seems perhaps you should've waited to actually drive your car, then decide if you wanted more... After all its only an e500....Congatulations on the order of your new ride and looks as if your off to a very good start on the mods..... Good-luck....

Brakes
My OEM brakes stop this hurtling mass of madness awefully solid and dead on straight. I sure would be reluctant to tap into the system and start mods But it's just my opinion.

The wheels are cool looking.

Going to add exhaust tips or system?

My car will come with the SPORTLINE package... AMG "E55" body kit and exhaust already included.

Not really. The Brembo GT's will run almost $6k for front and rear. Too much of an overkill for everyday driving. I just want something that will cosmetically enhance the wheels.

I called Carlsson NA in FL who referred me to a local shop. The wheels are 19" 1/16 Brilliant Edition, to be wrapped in Dunlop SP9000's.

with all those mods...why not spend a bit more and get an E55?

either way you are gonna have a beautiful car, i love those rims. I dont know if i would spend that much on amg brakes even though they are great. What color is your car?

I would get the michelin pilot sport 2s instead. Way better grip and lower noise levels.

I don't want to lease or finance. My total budget is only $80k cash.

I got a quote to similarly equip an E55... almost $95k! Add the mods (about $12k) I want and it really becomes a little too rich for my blood.

My car will be around $70k, then another $12k in stuff. More affordable.

I got the PS2's. Great tires. The Dunlop 9000's are good tires as well and are less expensive. The negative side of the Dunlop 9000's is that they tramline. I had them on my 01 CL.
