I like those that come out with push of the button at driver seat.
You have those in Europe, we don't in America.

Was it motorized hook?
300 EUR does not sound bad. That is what primitive US receiver cost on the average and you still have to add ball bar and electrical.

You asked a shop, they gave you a price, but you know you can do it cheaper yourself getting a used on from a junkyard... so what are you asking on the forum? Go get a used one and install it.

thought looks pretty nifty but the clearance between the bumper and whatever you could possibly tow it, look like it could really ding up the bumper. I've wonder why the NA market don't get those but only in Europe.

NA politics are forcing you to use gas-guzzlers and 40 mpg car towing is against the mentality.
Just buy 8 mpg pickup and that will do it.

thats from Thule, a bike rack and transportation solutions company.. it's an accessory and not oem. Ask Thule on how to install it.

It is in fact an option offered by MB elsewhere except NA. If your car wasn't fitted with one that doesn't mean they don't exist. EPC has a part number for it and if you do a search on eBay.de (in german) you will find them. I wanted to buy one but it is a very awkward piece of luggage to bring on the plane. And then I will have to buy a trailer to bring two 2x4's from Home Depot 0.8 miles to home.

You need to learn more about Europe and you need to learn more about MB

In my country most of the benz are edm and haven't seen that on a 211. if it's an oem option it's very rare to find, just saw a video on youtube and it was mechanichal, not automatic, but couldn't tell if it is an estate or sedan

If you would tell us what is your country it may clarify a lot. Also what is edm. There are at least 3 types and maybe not all offered/manufactured by MB. There is the one shown in the first video that is manual without opening the trunk, another one also manual like in your video which has a lever that is in the trunk and there is the fully automated similar to the one in the SUV video. Maybe because of trailer legislation in different countries dealers are completely ignorant about this.

yes I know, there maybe the accessory from factory but I've never seen it, I think it's rare, also on the video I posted i don't know if it's an estate or sedan, and the op video it's not an oem accesorry.
looks cool on the SUV though. I would have that just to retract it when I park the car outside.

It is rare becouse of original cost. Not too many owners who shave $60k or 70 k for new car buy it for towing.
"Bottom feeder" (that's us) who buy the car to work not for the prestique, have different needs.
Other option is folding rear seats. I value it very highly as that would be good substitute for diesel wagon, that I can't buy in US.
Yet the option is very, VERY rare. Not that expensive option, but again, snobs buying new MB don't care about lumber hauling.

So did you attend English schools, or learn the language in Albania?
US tv is very strict with removing bad words, or scramble even art gallery nude pictures.
Yet on last camping trip we had some old movies on DVD. The DVD audio is totally different from TV version.
On some movies the f word takes 30% of dialog
