Air con problem

Air con problem
Just bought a 2008 w211 in Ireland but no air con working. So far I've recharged the gas and removed the low gas fault code but still only blowing warm air. Any suggestions

When YOU recharged it did you vacuum the system or just add 134? did you recharge it using manifold gauges? What were your final pressures? Does your A/C compressor clutch engage?

I got it recharged with 134 gas in halfords by the guy in shop. He showed me the gauge was in the green after refill but the ac button light was flashing red so clutch didnt engage. I got low ac refrigerant code read by scanner and deleted now red ac light stays on but still no cold air.

Here is procedure for troubleshooting. Read the note at the bottom what we need to analyze.

There is a similar procedure (it could actually be the same procedure) for the W211 but it all depends on what climate control interface you have. IF you have the REST button this is possible, if you have the one with a "0" or "OFF" button in the middle with no REST button then you can not diagnose AC problems in this manner; at least not until someone figures out the button combination for the alternate AC control interface but I dont think it exists.

Procedure is basically the same for all MB of last 20 years.
As you could read the note on page, the readouts can require different procedures.
Some W211 have climatronic with REST button, what will read exactly like W210, If REST is not working - you need to use scanner.
You have all the info on single page at MBmedic. All it takes it read carefully.

who has connected his "equipment" and said that there is too much pressure in air con system - so we were thinking that we have full system. After 2 attempts of resetting computer the light was still back. We went to another aircon specialist in POland and he said that the idiot in UK almost fuc... our aircon system because in Mercedes there is some special way how do u measure pressure - at the first sight u can see that you have full pressure but there are 2 zones and you have to measure them separately - so he did check only 1 zone - the 2nd zone was empty and computer is preventing the whole thing against collapse by switching it off. He said if you force and reset computer 2 -3 times it will allow the system to work on low or no pressure your pump can be gone.
We have filled up the second zone and the system is on and working.
#### I just found this from a previous thread and was wondering where is the 2nd recharge port#####

You keep ignoring the procedure I linked for troubleshooting.
Beside clearing potential errors, you need to use scanner for sensors reading.
