2005 CDI To E63 AMG Seat Swap

I have been looking at doing this for a while with either E55 or E63 seats. Saw a set of 2007 E63 AMG seats not in black and, I impulse bought them.
Information on my car, I have power on both front seats that is it no other options, the backs have the split option when I pull the handle in the trunk the seat fold downs. So the rear should bolt in no other problems.
Now for the fronts from the research I have done the SRS light will come on and I have Xentry/Star tool I just don't know how to program them yet.
I really don't care about ventilated and and massaging, maybe in the future right now no.
The only thing I would like to add would be heated seats hopefully these seats have them, and from what past posts from here and there have said all I need to do is switch out the the front panel/bezel.
Pics below of what I have, then pics of the seats I bought. Let me know thoughts and any info you have. Thanks.

Where I got most of my info from.

Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but those rear seats certainly look like wagon seats? Don't the sedans have the headrests built into the rear parcel shelf?

I am not sure they look exactly the same as my seats. They seem to be attached to the back of the seat then fold down.
I am not sure let me know.

The back seats are exactly the same setup as the ones in my car easy swap.
Now for the fronts do these have heated option?
I can take more photos if needed, but here is the underside of the driver's seat.

it appears that your car is not wired for seat heat. there are no switches on your button/climate console.

You will have to add the switches and appropriate extra wiring to support the seat heat built into the new seats (which do have heat). a wiring diagram would answer your questions once you find the seat heat circuit.

I would focus on swapping the drivers seat and getting the power set up first (power seat). then worry about the rest as time goes on. the AMG seats looks cool, well bolstered, have dreamed myself of having an AMG drivers seat in black

Okay, a little update.
Got the driver's side in also picked up a bezel like you said.
I don't know what that button between the heated seats and rear fold down headrest did, so I skipped everyone that had that. Got the seat in fully working execpt for the mutli position, (little black circle on the bottom) that was kinda expected . The driver seat works perfect from the door controls.

the button you are asking about is the rear sunshade (infamous for breaking FYI) it goes down and up electronically. The motors strip the gear mechanism. When it works its pretty cool.

real nice seat. bet itll feel amazing. Lets hope you just plug power in and it works right away. Otherwise you have to temporarily add 12v with a spare battery with banana clips while you adjust the seat mechanism to somewhere acceptable and leave it as is (wiring diagram necessary to know where 12+ goes for the harness) or just a multimeter. edit: didnt read you got it working.

may I ask how much you paid for the set?

I paid $600 for the seats shipped, from eBay using a coupon/code. The heated switch was $40. There is a small tear/mark in the driver's seat I want to get fixed, but the rest of the seats are in perfect condition as in no one ever rode in the passenger or back seats . Called a local place said he would take a look at it for a price, not looking for perfect just to hide what he can and make it not tear any worse.

you lucked out as that leather is not split at all, just worn/friction. They sell a basic upholstery repair kit that will match your color at any NAPA ect. adhesive /gel type of product. Cost is about 15 dollars or your guy can easily do it for you. They just run some glue type product it to mask it over. Kindof like spackle-ling a wall

Okay that makes me feel better.
I found a picture of the wires before I cleaned the carpet with Zep high traffic carpet cleaner.
The only wire hiding is the yellow one from my Google search is the airbag one .

I do but the passenger doesn't.
Got the passenger seat in and the SRS light came on. Took the Generic scanner and got two codes, 9080 and 9083.
I will check with Xentry when I get time, any clues to what it could be. Also where do I navigate to get to the airbag setup?
I have read that you need to reset the seat with a 100 kilo weight which is 220 lbs for me. The power and recliner all work though so that's good.

Also new AMG seats mean new AMG pedals. Thanks NewShockerGuy for the pedal swap thread.
I think these are from CLK since they are oval compared to round, I also like the oval more.

Quick update, switch out the front bezel for the one with the heated seats. All the buttons work, such lock, unlock, and headrest reset.
I have posted a photo of the three wires behind the bezel.
Now the next step the fuse, according to the diagram its fuse F36 or the 5th one down from the right.
In my car that is empty. Is this the part where, reading on forums the wire is tapped down/hidden and all I have to do is plug it in with a fuse.
Not sure what to do on this next spot.

Another update finished the rear. Everything works, well for the rear which is the automatic headrest reset button.
The only the I don't know if its a problem is the passenger side rear top piece (the backrest) does not align perfect. Locks and click into place, just that there is a small gap between the seat and trunk.
Did not check the factory seats if they did to compare before removing them. Going to take a picture tomorrow to show what I mean.
For the factory heated seats I did more research and I looked behind the fuse panel, no wiring or factory setup I see.
If anyone is able to figure out how to wire up your own harness to the factory switch without having to remove all the carpet I will listen.
Anyway here is the pictures of the swapped E63 Seats front and rear.

Programmed the SRS for the passenger seat, wasn't so bad. Figured it out in about 15 min with just scrolling through the WSS setup.
Only error was the weight sensors needed to be re-calibrated.
Had to trick the sensor, luckily the sensor works in real time so you can see how much weight have to add or take off.
As for the rear just had to realign it real quick no problems.
In all these seats were worth the swap, my only complaint is how to setup the factory heated seats without taking everything off.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if you ever got the heated seats working, and if so, how?

Thanks!!
