Hi there I’ve been lurking around here for about a year using this incredible resource for small DIY projects for my E500. I just started doing small jobs myself and it has become my newest hobby.

I’m having some trouble with some sounds from the front of the car and found a ball joint that is out but I can’t identify the part for sure so I thought that I can ask here.

Ball joints do go back on the front suspension. But there are several ball joints up front. A picture would be helpful.

apparently it is a sway bar for the 4-matic but I suspect that something else is broken too.

Tack!!! Great! I will try to change a rod later this week which will be my first diy on the car (apart from small easy fixes) so I’m a bit nervous but I hope for the best!
