Which Benz do you recommend for under 20k
But if you do, my neighbor loves his 2013 C300 4Matic. He's taken it on several road trips of about 1,500 miles round-trip and is quite impressed with its performance. He's said it's pretty low-maintenance, overall, just regular upkeep (brakes, engine oil, that sort of stuff). Indeed, he went from a 2004 E320 gasoline car to this C300, so he's in basically your situation. You might likewise consider taking one for a drive and seeing if you like it.

When you are coming from good diesel, slim chance you will be happy with gasser. At least not at the fuel pumps. Go for E250 Bluetec.
That might give you keyless go, updated headlights, live traffic and cameras.
Just get a scanner who can read DPF values.

Still DEF heater can become expensive item when it fails, but newer gasers have their share of high-end "maintenance" issues as well.
Than again, more and more tuners offer DPF and DEF delete, when there is no such tune than can delete direct injection, who gum-up gasoline engines.
Blind spots drive me crazy as I like to change lanes with short distance, but still having electronic "grandma" watching over your shoulder can't be bad thing?

Do you happen to know what is leaking here on this side of my engine? I know where the leak is coming from but I don't know what this is called, it has a metal gasket on it.

When I played with my E250 after the purchase, it would burn wide tires on dry asphalt.
Than trying hard cornering, I managed to take it sideways.. dry asphalt, but could be some sand on it.
Obviously there is no match for OM642 torque, where I had to baby it entering freeway ramp, or I would loose traction any time any day.
But OM642 comes with 20% fuel penalty and high cost maintenance. Bot desirable choices, but I am buying Mercedes brand to not spend time under them.
