Some do smoke, while others do clear! Myself I prefer the clear since my wagon is alabaster white....After looking at your ride again, I think smoke would be a classic touch! Just my humble opinion.

Interesting. Would love to see some more, better pictures to showcase them better! Looks kind of like a W219 headlamp eh? Looks good.

You can buy them on amazon, eBay, or Wal-Mart.com. I chose Wal-Mart because you can return in store here they are;

Post a picture of the light output up against the wall. These lights are notorious for having terrible optics... In a way I feel this is actually a downgrade but it's your car so what ever makes ya happy.
Also note on the side marker lights. Not sure how DC is but in VA the lenses have to be clear or orange. If they are clear, the have to display orange light. They failed me on our w209 when I had smoked side markers even though the bulb was orange and orange light shined through... Just saving possible headaches. If that doesn't apply to DC then you are good either way.

Thanks for the tip!! I'll make sure to change the side markers back to orange before an inspection. In terms of light output, there is MUCH more output with these headlights compared to stock. That's probably more to do with the fact that it is 13 year newer technology, I put in LED bulbs, the stock bulbs were old and yellowish, and the stock lens was cloudy. I also was nervous about the this upgrade, but it turned out good so far. The issue that I have had in the past with aftermarket headlights are with the quality of the wiring harness; but this particular model the harness seems solid.

But my factory lights were crappy, very hazed, No matter how much I buffed. Plus the insulation of wires were falling off. I almost just replaced oem, because when in good condition they are beautiful.. Thanks again for your help

eBay has brand new lens covers for $50 that work fantastic and make the factory lights look brand new

Yeah I saw those. It is my understanding that in order to replace the lens the entire fixture would have to be removed (i.e., by removing the bumper). That is a total PITA and might as well spend a little more and just replace the entire fixture, which is what I did. Plus the insulation on my wiring harness was corroded and falling off, so needed to replace anyways...

I hope the lights provide better output than your photography skills...
careful with those LED lights with glare you need to check the beam pattern. Still projectors which is generally better, but it was still designed for halogen
