Air shocks in-operable

Good day! I have a 2003 E320 and the front driver side air shock is not working. Thus, the left front side is lower than the right. I fear that this is going to cost a lot of money. Has anyone had the same problem and is there an inexpensive remedy to repair this problem. Thank you and I look forward to your feedback

The system is called Airmatic. Use the search feature to find a lot of information about this system. I don't know what is considered a a lot of money, but it is a Mercedes. There are a few after market sources for Airmatic parts.

Thank you Bankroll. I did some research and came across a company called Strut Masters. They sell aftermarket conversion struts where they can convert your air struts to standard struts. Do you know if any MB owners have done this? I’ve sent a link for you to review if you have time
Thank you!

you are going to pay just as much to buy the coilover conversion kit for 4 sides of you car compared to a new working airmatic suspension, yeah you might not have to even buy a new suspension again with the coilovers, but a new airmatic system should last you around 100k miles thats how much the oem airmatic in my cls55 lasted me until the back left one leaked due to the adjustable control arm scaping against it.

Thank you Rpkxnoscope. I called a German car shop that specializes in MB/BMW/Audi. He told me parts labor will cost me $1200. I’m contemplating if I should get both left and right side replaced. Thoughts?

Check out vide by Ren Sam he did it on the w211 4matic. The hardest thing is ensuring the car is lifted high so you could maneuver the lower arm, and caliper out the way. But if I can do it, you can too!
