Thanks Forum Members and Sponsors

I have been evaluating automobiles in anticipation of purchasing a new vehicle this summer or fall. One of the tools I have used during my research is internet forums like this one. The information provided by members of this forum was extremely helpful in the decision making process, as it helped me better understand my options and select what I believe is the best vehicle for me given my budget constraints. I am sure this forum will continue to be a great resource for me going forward and I will attempt to do my part to contribute any information I may become aware of that could benefit others.

Thanks to the sponsors and all members who contribute to this forum.

So...are you tending towards a W211 at this point? Just asking.

I don't believe I've contributed, if any at all, but you are very welcome. Indeed, I'm in agreement with you on the fact that MBWorld has wonderful members who are more than helpful. I'd also like to extend my thanks to all of you. Keep it up!

2004 E500, 2001 BMW X5 4.4
Bought an 2004 E500 Last Weekend

I had considered a BMW 530i, E320 gas, E320 CDI and CLK500. Thought an E500 was outside my price range. After investigation found the E500 was obtainable (great deals to be had right now) and decided that for me the 2004 made more sense financially (maintenance and price advantage, kept some options I was afraid would be lost on 2005 model). Wanted the bigger engine as opposed to more options so got a E500 with sunroof, heated seats and Premium Sound package. Pewter with charcoal seats. No problems so far after 500 miles.

Absolutely! Without mentioning individual names as to not slight anyone I sincerely thank all those members who consistently offer their expertise (worldwide), whether it’s sales or technical/service. Personally, I have been able to bring the ’03 (through bulletins, upgrades, part numbers, inside info and recommendations) to the near perfect demands of a perfectionist – me.

Glad you were able to move "up" to the E500... except for those whose criteria have specifically arrived at the E320, I feel the E500 is a much more enjoyable choice! That is until you have to visit the filling station... but that's the trade off.

What was I thinking? Best of luck, very smart to forgo some options, cash in on a few extras that are gone, and ultimately wind up with the car that makes you the happiest.
