WOW . Night and day difference no more transmission confusion. The shifts are clear and almost instant . It took all the slip/ LAG TIME between 1-2 out Under full load .

The down shifts were hard at first but the computer re adapted it has smoothed out ...C is still smooth . now when you have to pass just a little push and your passing .

The car feels like its always in gear and is clear through the power band much better . Very worth the $400 upgrade I feel a valve body would not be needed at this power level ....instead of $1000 for the same thing .

THIS ALSO has eliminated a giant lag when pulling onto the road.

i'm curious to know more about your transmission work. did you just install the e55 valve body with slr blue tops and everything played together nicely or was there some resetting of the tcu required? i've been looking into the blue tops for my cdi(other than the sluggish tranny i absolutely love it) that tends to flare when cold on the 3-4 upshift. i changed fluid, added the sonnax overlap sleeve kit and a transgo 722.6a shift kit, seeing no improvement. then i disassembled and cleaned the valve body entirely(solenoids included), replaced the conductor plate, with another fluid change and still have the cold 3-4 flare. it's never thrown an error code, but shifting just seems... off. nowhere on the entire internet can i find which valve bodies work in which trannies with which tcu's controlling them and what the differences between them are. everything i've learned points my difficulty to the tcu's programming or the valve body's operation. i can't find programming for the tcu in an e320, but if a valve body swap would do the trick, or just the blue tops?
