So who's used BenzNinja?

For all those that have hesitation purchasing and working with Peter (The Benz Ninja)... I can tell you this guy is more that Legit! He can do what he claims.
He is quick to help when you have issues and knows his stuff.
If you enjoy working on your Benz and need a computer system to aide in your passion.... let The BenzNinja hook you up!!
I have been in business almost 30 years. Not in the automotive business (I own a small machine shop). I have purchase many pieces of software over the years. I can tell you I have NEVER had the kind of SERVICE Peter offers.
He has saved me a LOT OF MONEY and has NEVER fallen short on his promise.
I consulted him and purchased exactly what he told me to get. The cost was more than acceptable and the complete system performs perfect.
Like I said... If you have a passion for your Benz and enjoy the DIY realm.... The BenzNinja's sytem is a must have for your tool box
All the best everyone,
Mark

Wow, my first post, I just read this thread and what a great service BenzNinja seems to provide to members. I’m glad I found you folks over here as I was ready to buy an Autel scanner mk808, but now see that I should look at Benzninjas offerings.
it seems there is no comparison between a Autel vs BenzNinja.
I have a couple questions, Do I need to consult Peter every time I need to diagnose my MB, or do you only consult him if you get stuck in STAR? Is STAR real complicated to use?
Thanks for the assistance!

The benz setup will obviously do only benzs, but it will do all models of benz.
It's also kind of cumbersome, with all the laptop, c4, and all the cables... At least when comparing it to a small handheld scanner.
But absolutely it can do more.
It's your system, and you can use it anyway you like independently from Peter or you can ask Peter and he'll do anything for you. For simple things, it's fairly user-friendly, however you can mess things up very easily as well with both xentry and vediamo.
To be honest I've done all kinds of stuff by myself with the system. However recently I just had Peter do the eco mode, and we tested both sound design and emotion start on my w-212.
You will need him if you need any security or seed codes. He'll calculate those for you.

No! The system will work fine without Peter. But... sometimes it is advantageous to have Peter to lean on. He is quick to help you through things and show you the path.
Unlike some computer systems, you do something wrong ... there is not an "undo" button.
I do most things on my own, but, I am quick to reach out to Peter when I need help

Completely Satisfied
Well, I’m now in the BenzNinja club. I procured the hardware Peter recommended, and this past Friday sent him his fee, and within 10mins he was on my laptop doing his thing. We ran into some issues (too many unnecessary programs on the laptop) 30mins in that required him to make a boot drive for windows, and he talked with me through the WhatsApp to give me instructions. Then he worked through the night (my time zone) and still was at it when I woke up Saturday morning. At about noontime he reported to me it was ready.
I followed his instructions and hooked it up to my E350 and started to diagnose. The program did not take too long to get a handle of (just the basic diagnostics part) , as I had been viewing YouTube videos of others using it, and I already had experience with EPC & WIS.
I was amazed at how deep into the system it goes and I still need to learn a lot more about using it. An hour later I was on the road with it hooked up watching the wheel sensor actual data stream, and sure enough the left rear sensor was off when the car goes over 25mph. In the many fault codes this triggered, the left rear speed sensor one of things that STAR recommended troubleshooting, and the actual values confirmed it. Used WIS to see the procedure to change it, and used EPC to look up part number, and ordered one from a local euro part store. I also found that the intake flapper sensors is showing that they are not returning to the un-actuated position. Interesting as I had no check engine light, and after I cleared it came back again so I know there is a problem. But I am not losing any power, the plastic linkage seems intact, the anemia’s capsules tested good with vacuum, so I am suspicious of a bad sensors or a short and need to dig in deeper.
Overall I am very pleased with Peters service, he’s a pleasure to communicate with, is patient, and very helpful. I hope this helps anyone with any doubt.

So after reading this thread, I have decided to reach out to Mr. Ninja and see if he can assist me for my new 2021 GLA45 AMG.
Thank you for all of the compliments and support in this thread. It is this thread that encouraged me to reach out to him to find out more information.

Kudos to BenzNinja! I was having an issue with my diagnostic system as the multiplexer would fail to initialize. Contacted him, set up a session, had everything connected and powered up when he logged in remotely, and he had everything fully functional in approximately 12 minutes! That is what I call service and I thank you!

Benzninja helped me out of a total unexperiensed mess l did wit my 350s.
He just deletes his threads when I've asked questions on what services he offers in greater detail....so I'll just make a thread myself then since transparency doesn't seem like something he wants to show.
All his (5) star reviews are from MBWorld he says....
So where are the real users here? What's your experience?

BenzNinja deserves a Michelin Star
If there were to exist Michelin ratings for Mercedes Techs - like there is for those fancy 12 hour/12 course meal restaurants than BenzNinja is one of the very few in the world that deserves such a rating. Why?
I contacted Peter about how do I become a member and he gave me all the answers upfront. He guided me on what hardware I needed and even sent me links to where to buy them. He then installed the software which took him about 2 days of work on my laptop working remotely with TeamViewer.
Today he helped me with a lot of things:
Upgraded the software on various modules, coded rear sam for a hitch, helped me identify long time issues with airmatic, and erased a MAF sensor code, and helped me pinpoint the dread “White Battery” light issue. I have yet have to bother him with other issues and he has zero problem helping us because he truly passionately enjoys doing what he does.
Coming from Audi/VW I was getting so much frustrated with Mercedes simply because there is no simple aftermarket software like Ross-Tech which only cost me $400 and was able to read, erase, and do coding in a very simple matter. With Mercedes this forum was my only hope that kept me enjoy my cars thanks to the members - especially MajDundee.
So unless you have thousands of dollars to throw down the drain at the dealer for simple issues than youre really rich and dont need anyone to help you.
But if you really want to enjoy your benz for the simple fact that they are “the best or nothing” and doing so without throwing money down the pit BenzNinja is that Michelin Chef for your Mercedes Benz.
I vouch for him that he has helped me more in one day than all mechanics combined since Ive owned my 3 Mercedes Cars.
He gets 10 stars not 5 for his service. With his help Im also able to help friends and family as well.
All I can say is that he goes above and beyond to help you resolve the issue. I highly encourage everyone that need his help to not hesitate and become a BenzNinja member. And please dont forget to tip him as he has to make a living too.

He always responds to my questions - Always!
I wonder if we are talking about the same person that ps2cho is? I have decades of computer and mechanical experience. Given enough time, I can figure anything out. Last week, I bricked my cell phone and I located the software to access the device and reprogram it to make it functional again. The internet is an amazing resource.
I have a 2003 R230. I told my wife when we purchased it that if I could not repair it, we could not afford to own it. I purchased a clone SDS from the PRC and had limited success with it. It was not intuitive and without knowledge and enthusiasm of MBWorld members I don't know if we would still have this vehicle. The complexity of the issues started to increase with age and I did not have the time to dedicate to becoming a guru on the SDS to make it worthwhile.
I started reading posts about BenzNinja and the SDS, the consensus was that this guy was a must have resource. I finally reached out to him last year and was pleasantly surprised at his cheerfulness and willingness to help even though he is 13 hours ahead of me. The first thing that he did was get my SDS software sorted out. Next he advised me that a faster laptop would make a better experience for me but it was not a deal breaker. Then we hooked everything up and he showed me how to efficiently use the tool and gave me tips that normally take years of experience to learn. I have successfully diagnosed and addressed so many issues with his assistance. I don't call on him as much as I used to because after he made sure that my SDS is working as it should and he taught me over time how to use it effectively. I did not need him as much. He had cheerfully coached me through issues and I learned from him. Master Class is what I called our sessions.
I reached out to him yesterday because I finally got that faster laptop that he originally suggested. I have a Dell L502X with an i7 and 8 GB of RAM that had become surplus for us. BenzNinja had me move the SSD from the old laptop to the new one, make a change in the BIOS (that I would not have thought of) so it would boot and installed the drivers for the new hardware. He updated the SDS Software and logged out. It was that simple.
So yeah, I am not talking about the same BenzNinja that the original poster is for sure. Must be a knock-off.

I began with Peter in March, he has literally saved me thousands of dollars. It can be extremely difficult to work on these cars when you have no idea how to remove and intall components, we don't know where the tabs are, you are deathly afraid of not getting the car back together and having it towed to the Stealer.
On the other hand, when you have a guide, and someone monitoring along the way, you feel like you can fix anything.
Thanks BenzNija!

Peter aka BenzNinja
I couldn't get the full system that I purchased from the Alibaba site to work as it wouldn't even complete the Quick Scan. I contacted Peter and he reinstalled Win 7 and all the proper SDS software onto the IBM Thinkpad for me. After hooking up the SDS multiplexer to my SL65 he found that there was an issue with the multiplexer and recommended that I look for a replacement one with a specific military grade chip set.
I eventually found the correct multiplexer 1 year later and after connecting my system back up I was able to complete a Quick Scan, see my fault codes and erase the light in my dash cluster that had been displaying for the last 3 years.
Peter knows his stuff and was very good over Skype and TeamViewer in diagnosing things and helping me out. Thanks again Peter!

Add me to the the BenzNinja Club as well. I recently purchased a 2007 AMG S65. I was already intending on purchasing a Chinese Xentry setup. I happened across Peter's website and went from there. I got the laptop and C4 system he referred me to. Once those arrived he remoted into my laptop and spent the day and my night installing the software. Afterwards, he worked on my AMG. He updated everything, added AUX on my command system for an aftermarket headunit I will be installing and to top it off, he updated me to the P30 ABC mod. This mod is fire! Can't believe how much better the ABC suspension feels after that. I look to many more hours using Peter's services!
