2007 E350 adding siriusxm

Wife inherited this car, new condition, extremely low miles. She wants wants factory Siriusxm, no matter how much it costs me, lol. I bought the module and antenna. I cannot figure out where it goes. All I can find is 2006 and older info. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nobody has worked at our local MB dealer that can remember back that far, kinda sad after going there first. Thanks in advance. P.S. I did remove the RH trunk trim, nothing there. No wiring at all.

This place is a joke.
It usually goes over the nav drive behind the LH trunk panel. Do you have a nav unit there, or is it integrated in the head unit? Otherwise it may go in the forward part of the trunk under the plastic tray. Give me a couple days I'll see if I can find the retrofit instructions. Meanwhile look for orange fiber optic cables in those areas that aren't plugged in to anything.

That will be helpful, I'm an MB tech. Just fyi once it gets plugged in, the radio will have to be programmed to add sat radio to the fiber optic loop. Only a dealer or someone with Xentry/DAS can do that part.

The guys at the MB store here acted like they had no clue. I want to install it correctly. We do have a local indy shop staffed by ex MB dealer guys.

The antenna goes on the outside of trunk lid in the center.

nav drive wasn’t integrated until 2009

You know you can get a knock off copy of the WIS which is the dealer repair manual on eBay for under $8 right? You should be able to find a 2007 for sale that has it and compare it with your vin that doesn't have it and see what the difference is.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/124959990750

And when you do get it enabled, you can always get those $5/month promos which they do all the time, but you don't get it til you threaten to cancel. Should be able to do a free 30 day trial at least.

The SiriusXM antenna is painted the same color as your car, its a low profile antenna, maybe 3/8” tall. Centered top to bottom and left to right. Factory location. When Properly positioned there will be an opening in the underlid reinforcing. If you need a picture say so.

SIRIUS was an at cost option for MY07 If vehicle is pre-wired for satellite code 536 will show on data card. If not, best bet would be to go for aftermarket choices. If you want provide VIN I will check for code.

I had the rh trunk trim out, no wiring. We have alldata here at work. Appears the wiring can be added as part of a kit, can of worms, it does have the Sat button on the dash
WDBUF56XX7B182188 is the vin

thanks very much, alldata refers to AZ82.60-P-0006T for 2007 and it does show two lead part numbers. This is crazy complex. Seems like 07 would get simpler as sirius became more common, guess not

Another ripple that has not been discussed even if you find someone willing to retrofit harnesses your COMAND head unit, although it has SAT button, will not receive all channels due to old software and MB did/does not offer update SIRIUSXM will need to code your subscription into a dedicated tier.

Konigstiger would you know if the MY09 SiriusXM radio with the new HU have more channels?
