Edit:
This swap is for users who want a facelift wheel, example e55 swapped to e63/cls55 wheel
The 2020 wheel is my personal touch
Reason for the swap is I’ll be doing some product testing of a w205 swap but worst case I’ll just rock a 2020 wheel
I’m not responsible if anything gets damaged. Use diy at your own risk
Edit: I don’t know if something like this will work for sl55. If I find someone who wants to dive in maybe we can get something going but it’s a long shot
some programming maybe involved for paddles; I haven’t run into this personally just from what others have said
If anyone wants a wheel made for their w211/w219 feel free to visit

my #1 worry is if the airbag would still work, but that's a 1-time, very expensive test so i understand. certain other OEM airbags changed from single stage to dual stage so i'm unfamiliar if this was done with MB over the years too.

as for the airbag deploying. Unfortunately it’s been tested when the first retrofitted car was in an accident and all the bags deployed

The white plug is different from the female connector on the clockspring. I did also purchase an updated steering column piece that houses the clockspring.
This is the updated closkspring I bought. One of the used steering column housing with the cloaking was broken so I bought a new clockspring
This is the paddle module - I am not sure I connected it properly.

I doubt my wiring instruction will work with that.
maybe start by pulling up the schematics for w211 clockspring wiring and w212 to make you’re custom wiring harness
good luck

Do I just pry the airbag out?

The screws are deeper in those holes and concealed, they are integrated into the steering wheel and don’t come out! Silly me!
