Hello,
I just got my new E500 and love it. I really like the ride and dont want to change it that much, but would like to have 19" wheels on it.
I would like to hear from other E500 owners on how their ride is with 19" wheels. and also what profile tires should I get that will look ok with a soft ride?
thanks in advance

The ride will be a bit stiffer but definitely acceptable. You will really feel the difference if you're getting 20's. If you need any help in choosing the 19's, feel free to send me an e-mail. I will be more than happy to help out.

The ride with 19s is not bad at all. Additionally my car is lowered by 1.75" and it still rides great.
Check out the Fuzion tires. You can get a set of 4 through the Tirerack for around $700.
Let me know if you need the correct tire size/profiles or do a search.
Cheers

No, no way is it that rough. I drive my car everyday in all conditions and it is 100% no problem.
As a matter of fact it REALLY livens up the steering input on inital turn in. Feels like a whole new car.
Check out those Fuzions, you will love them (and so will your wallet).
Cheers

No, it is not "rough". It is "stiffer". Rough means uncomfortable, stiff means tighter with better handling.

How much Stiffer? My friend has a E320 with AMG sport package (stiffer suspension) and 18" wheels. Would it be comparible to that ride?

yoiu will feel the little stuff more. but the ride is not stiffer. you just get more feedback. my car is lowered about 1 inch. i ride around in sport1 with my 19s. you wont be unhappy, do it! more than anything else, tires will have the greatest effect.
