Trunk size from W210 to W211

I remember reading a review and they stated it was bigger although this was a 2003 review so it was a while ago.. Also, they stated that the whole car was roomier and a little bit longer.. I may be wrong though..

edmunds.com gives 15.3 cubic feet as the "luggage capacity" of the 2002 W210, and 15.9 cubic feet for the 2005 W211. All I know is that the W211 trunk is really deep, so deep that the forward reaches aren't particularly usable if you don't have a folding rear seat. Some people wish that M-B had put less room in the trunk and more room in the rear seat, but the slope of the roof probably made that impossible.

My perception was that the W210 has a bit of a smaller trunk than the W124. At least I thought so. I find the W211 to have a bigger trunk than either one, but, this is a very shallow trunk! It is still much more useful than the W124 or the W210 since my W211 has the fold down rear seats.
The W210, the W124 and my Audi have the fuel tank behind the back seat. It was supposed to be much safer, but it sure made the trunk kind of useless due to the lack of a trunk pass-through.
This is all my opinion, not total fact.
